'Cool' in more ways than one!

(Avid Cyclist) June 24, 2014

I was drawn to this shoe on the TE site by how cool they look--i love the classic styling, which complements my classic steel touring bike and they're definitely different from anything i'd had in the past! But they're also cooler on the feet than all but an old pair of Keen cycling sandals, and the holes in the leather proved highly functional in our recent heat and humidity. You can feel the air flowing along the sides of your feet. Real leather breathes, and on yesterday's 80-mile ride my feet stayed more comfortable than they ever did when entombed in cycling shoes made of synthetics. They do, however, run small and i had to order a whole size larger, and even so they are borderline narrow but again, being real leather, i'm confident they will stretch.

Pros
  • Breathable
  • Well Ventilated
Cons
Uses
  • Long-distance riding
  • Sizing: Feels full size too small
  • Width: Feels true to width
