Great Quality Pants

(Casual/ Recreational) February 18, 2014

I have been using these pants for my spinning classes (4 a week) for about 4 weeks now. They are holding up very well. I wash them in cold water and hang dry. These pants run a full size large...I am a 24-26 pants size and I ordered the 2X and they are plenty big!

Pros
  • Breathable
  • Comfortable
  • Durable
  • Good Padding
Cons
Uses
  • Long Rides
  • Waist: Feels too big
  • Length: Feels true to length

My go-to brand for plus-size bike wear

(Casual/ Recreational) November 29, 2013

This product takes all the abuse I give it. I have not managed to tear the material or the seams, though I did wear my first pair out after about two years (the chamois is a little flat now). Also, you may want to go down a size if you prefer a garment that "holds you in". If you want a little more room, stick with the chart. It's good for year-round here in TX, and keeps me warm up through January without having to put on a base layer.

Perfect!

(Casual/ Recreational) June 10, 2013

Used these for the first time on the 25 mile L.A. River Ride yesterday. They provided just the right amount of padding, did not ride up on the legs, perfect fit. I have a pear shape and my legs are thick down to my ankles. At first I was going to get a 3X according to the size chart but after reading the reviews I got a 2X, which is my normal size --perfect. I started commuting to work about 2 months ago, increasing to ~24 mile round trip so I will definitely get another pair so I can use these exclusively...goodbye baggy sweatpants, hello knickers!!

Service comments: I needed these quickly and they arrived as promised and in good condition.

Love these knickers

(Casual/ Recreational) June 14, 2012

I only do easy casual riding and I find these to be comfortable and cool. Like the higher waist and the slit at the cuff, I was afraid that they would ride up but they don't. I ordered 1 size smaller and got a perfect fit.

Exactly as sister cyclists wrote

(Casual/ Recreational) May 5, 2012

Ordered on Thursday and pants arrived in NE Florida on Saturday in time for a ride.
Read all the reviews and ordered one size smaller. PERFECT FIT, thank you ladies!
My old bike pants are old technology and the newer padding is AMAZING. Hugged the little seat on the WSD TREK and felt very comfortable. The waist was not binding, did not ride down over my zaftig derrière, hem kept legs down on my calves with no binding. I believe these knickers will keep me on the bike longer. Money well spent is the highest praise I can bestow.

Love them so far!

(Casual/ Recreational) September 27, 2011

These are awesome pants!

I'm 5'8" and they are nice and long, hitting me just above mid calf. I measured and ordered them one size smaller than the size chart recommended, but ended up returning them for the 2X. I wear a size 24 tall in jeans and slacks, and in the 2x they fit perfectly.

The fabric is nice and thick and it isn't transparent at all when you are bent over on the bike! Love, love, love them!

Meh....

(Avid Cyclist) July 4, 2011

I own both these capris and the capris by SheBeest. I decided to buy a 2nd pair after I spent too many times waiting for my other pair to dry. I bought these because, even though I love the SheBeest's, these capris consistently got better reviews. All I can say is, "Meh..." Although the placing of the padding is better than the SheBeests, and the construction and comfort is comparable, the material of the Terry's are of a far lesser quality. I've been wearing these a month now, probably about ten times total, and I've already got two snags and I just noticed after today's (relatively short for me) 30 mile bike ride, the right inner knee is starting to chafe where I get on and off the bike. I used the SheBeests hard for two years non-stop and they still look brand new. The material of the SheBeests is just superior to these.

Pros
  • Good Fit
  • Dries Quickly
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Material snags

  • Road Biking

Works well for me and have bought two

(Casual/ Recreational) May 30, 2011

I have used riding to lose over 100 pounds! Historically I have been an endurance rider regularly participating in century rides. As I've lost weight, my mileage per ride is growing. I like the capri length of these pants, but the waist seems too high and large. I am in my late 40s and my waistline is fuller than I'd like, and these pants are too big there. For a person who is not fuller in the waist, that would be a real problem. Otherwise, I love the pants and wear them several times a week.

  • Comfortable
  • Dries Quickly
  • Durable
  • Breathable
  • Good Fit

  • Waist out of proportion
  • Too Much Padding

Very Comfy

(Avid Cyclist) May 23, 2011

After reading earlier reviews I ordered these knicks in both the correct size and one size down. Sure enough the one size smaller fits alot better as the padding hangs too low in the correct size. So I would definitely recommend buying one size smaller as they fit perfectly and do not at all feel tight.

These pants are super comfy. They are my first cycle pants which I purchased for spin classes. No more chaffing it's a whole new world. Just ordered another 2 pairs.

Comfy

(Casual/ Recreational) April 11, 2011

I have used these knickers at spinning and on a couple of rides about an hour long. They are really comfortable, though a little on the warm side. They fit a little larger than I thought. Next time I would order one size smaller than what I think I would need.

Worth the money

(Casual/ Recreational) July 18, 2010

This is my first pair of cycling shorts/capri pants. The padding is great with the seaming flat so it does not rub on your leg. The only negative I would say is that I wish it had more tummy support. Being a larger girl, it would be nice to have more sturcture on the tummy area to help pull you in a little. They was great and dry super fast. I would definetly buy another pair when I need it.

Super comfy knicks

(Casual/ Recreational) May 15, 2010

These knicks are super-comfy with a women-specific pad that made for a very enjoyable ride. There is some extra length in the back, so that when I bend forward on my road bike, my lower back stays covered, which I really appreciate now that we are heading into cooler weather here in Melbourne. The length is good, finishing a little way below the knee, and I liked the fact that there was no riding up the leg, even though there is no grip tape on the bottom hem. These pants are perfect for autumn and spring riding, I'm not sure how they would feel in a cold winter (we don't have super cold winters here - no snow) or during the heat of summer (I'd probably wear shorter length pants then anyway). I probably would order a size smaller next time, as I would like a little more compression, and I found the pad felt a little strange when walking, because it sort of comes down onto the inner thighs, however this was not an issue when riding - no chafing or rubbing. All in all, I would definitely recommend these knicks, and would certainly purchase them again.

  • Good Fit
  • Comfortable

Great

(Avid Cyclist) February 13, 2010

I'm a plus size cyclist and these are very comfy for rides of 25 miles and up. I've had mine for a few years and they look like new in spite of heavy use. I like the coverage for sun protection and while they are cool enough for summer use, they go right into fall and late spring rides.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

(Avid Cyclist) July 13, 2009

I loved the first pair I bought I had to by a second and I love them. For me the sizes run a little large so the first pair I bought have a lot of extra room in them the second pair fit perfectly. But either way they are very comfortable, my long rides have never felt so good, I haven't had any sore backsidedness since purchasing these.

They are easy to wash, though you are instructed to line dry them so it is good to have two because the padding can take a couple of days to fully dry.

The fit is great, I have had mine for about three months I believe with a lot of wear in them already (I am training for a century) they are holding up nicely.
