You must own 2 pairs

(Avid Cyclist) August 16, 2013

Fantastic. They are so comfortable and are truly to the knee. Only complaint, they take forever to dry. Problem resolved by having 2 pairs.

  • Comfortable
  • Breathable
  • Durable
  • Good Padding
Cons
Uses
  • Road Biking
  • Long Rides
  • Waist: Feels true to size

Excellent for long rides

(Avid Cyclist) August 8, 2013

Very comfortable chamois, love the longer length. The only thing that keeps this from rating a 5 is they're not so comfortable in a forward position while riding with aero bars. For regular riding positions on the hoods or the drops, they're great. Have used them several times on 4-6 hour rides in the mountains and they provide good support and comfort for the entire trip.

Excellent short

(Casual/ Recreational) July 11, 2013

LOVE this short.I would call myself a hybrid of arecreational/avid cyclist. Cycle around our home area (15-40 mi) and on trips ( 250-530mi). Have had this short for 2 years and just bought another for a 530 mile 10 day ride I will be doing along the Danube. I like the longer length to cover my 50+ yo legs. I have a large and based on measurements went for the XL even though the large fit well. The XL is looser on the leg band than the L, but both sizes are fine, with XL being overall looser. If I ordered again I would get the L, but have worn it on a long ride so I will keep. Washes well and dries fast on my trips with towel wringing overnight. Super comfortable and covers the backside well in the biking position. Would definitely order again.

Loving these Cycle Shorts

(Casual/ Recreational) February 18, 2013

I love Terry cycle pants. These were my first cycle shorts having previously worn longer lengths and I was worried that the legs may be too high or ride up when cycling. But they are a perfect length sitting just above the knee (I'm 5'7/170cm) and have grip that prevent them from riding up. These are fantastic for indoor cycling classes. I also love that these pants are not made of a shiny material and are not see through. Can't recommend these enough.

Too low-cut

(Avid Cyclist) August 18, 2012

These are great shorts and I love the long legs, but a tall gal (I'm 6') needs a long rise too. Some of my jerseys are too short to wear with these shorts.

Pros

A good product, if not perfect.

(Avid Cyclist) August 4, 2012

TE, you have the best catalog service around. I bought two pairs of these shorts, and the chamois IS comfortable, but the leg gripper/elastic doesn't hold the leg down as well as it should, which means the shorts ride up and can cause chafing on the inside leg. I love the longer length and the fit around the waist.

Pros
  • Dries Quickly
  • Comfortable
  • Good Padding
  • Breathable
Cons
  • Leg grippers uneffective

Love these shorts.

(Avid Cyclist) July 20, 2012

These are the only shorts I will wear. The biggest reason for this is that they are long enough as I am 62 and have no desire to wear really short shorts while riding (or any other time for that matter). They fit well and are most comfortable.

great for long distance biking

(Avid Cyclist) June 13, 2012

I used to be able to wear just any old bike short; no padding, lots of padding, even my husband's were comfortable. But, as I get older nothing but Terry shorts are comfortable for my 50+ mile rides. There's no "diaper" feeling, no "sausage" leg, no chafing, no discomfort at all.
A great short!

(Avid Cyclist) May 7, 2011

As a larger woman, it is hard to find longer shorts. These serve my needs perfectly.

love these shorts

(Avid Cyclist) November 5, 2010

What can I say I LOVE Terry shorts. The fit, the padding and so far the durability. I ride regularly, and of course I have a few bike shorts which I rotate. But I prefer the Terry over all the others I have tried. I have not had problems with holes or splitting in the pads... and I even put mine in the dryer! the longer length is a real plus I probably wont go back to the shorter type.

Long Lasting Long Length Bike Shorts

(Avid Cyclist) September 17, 2010

I bought five at least five years ago, and they've held up remarkably well. Except for tours, I never put them in the dryer. Love the longer length--more modest and I need less suntan lotion.

Pros
  • Good Fit
  • Dries Quickly
  • Durable
  • Good Padding
  • Breathable
  • Comfortable
Cons
Uses
  • Long Rides

Love these shorts......... BUT......

(Avid Cyclist) August 10, 2010

I bought these at the end of last season and just started wearing them this summer. I bike daily so need to wash daily, hang to dry, etc. I love these shorts BUT the padding has split down the middle.. how does that happen?? These are the perfect short but a waste of money to break down so soon. Does Terry stand by their product?

Pros
  • Comfortable
  • Dries Quickly
  • Breathable
  • Good Fit
Cons
  • Padding issues
Uses
  • Road Biking
  • Warm Weather
  • Long Rides

A disappointment

(Avid Cyclist) July 15, 2010

These were my favorite biking shorts due to fit and comfort, until I discovered 3 holes in the fabric (from snagging something?) after only washing and wearing them 3 times. The holes are large enough to make them unwearable (unless you like having peek-a-boo holes on your butt.) They are not durable for mountain biking.

Pros
  • Good Padding
  • Breathable
  • Comfortable
  • Good Fit
  • Dries Quickly
Cons
  • Fabric not durable
Uses
  • Road Biking
