Finally—the perfect arm warmer substitute to wear with sleeveless jerseys. Brilliant! This bolero also adds a bit of extra warmth to the back and shoulder areas for those of us gals who tend to run on the cold side.

Cute little bolero

(Casual/ Recreational) September 20, 2012

Adorable bolero, perfect for riding or socializing.

I got it to go along with my Mandarin jerseys, I hae large arms and I can easily get my fat arms into it, and it fits comfortably. If it was at all too snug or uncomfortable I won't wear it. But this, I wear not only on rides but also when we go out on the town and I want something a little warmer than my other black shrugs during cooler/colder months.

I always get tons of complements on it and even have the skinny girls asking repeatedly where they can get one, and for a fat chick it's awesome!

Yes it would be nice to have a hook & eye on the front for closure if desired but I feel the design is intended to cover the shoulders and arms mainly and not realy cover the chest. Which doesn't bother me at all.

I've had mine for a few years, if and when I every wear it out or get too skinny for it, I'll def be ordering a new one!

Good concept; BAD execution.

(Casual/ Recreational) March 31, 2012

Only the SLEEVES feel comfortable on the road. I live alone and this bolero item is NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO GET INTO. Binds uncomfortably at the underarm, can't wear short sleeves. Not enough front on the bolero to grab onto to pull it into place; can not wear with a compression tank due to sleeves binding and gapping. Good empirical design indicates bolero should be larger in front and have a self tie to hold it in place. This solves the problem of getting it on by having something to grab onto.
Stated sized 2x/3x reality runs 1x/2x.

Great item!

(Avid Cyclist) June 20, 2010

This is great to keep the morning chill away. I had to stop to take it off but that is not an issue for me as it was a 20 plus mile ride. I was really happy with the warmth it gave as I tend to run on the cold side. It really worked out perfectly and would highly recommend it to anyone. Also it is tres cute!

Different from arm warmers

(Avid Cyclist) February 13, 2010

4 stars due to being more difficult than arm warmers. Decided to try the sleeveless Terry mandarin tops and pair with this bolero for summer and and their heavier one for cooler weather instead of my usual short sleeve/arm warmer combo. The bolero fits in a back pocket, adds just enough warmth, looks beautiful, however, it's a pain to remove/add. With arm warmers you can remove them while you ride and stow them around your wrists. I have to stop to use the bolero. Still, for bread & breakfast riding/tourism, it looks like normal clothing instead of bike togs which allows you to go to places you might not be able to go such as restaurants etc. if you had race style clothing on.
