great for cycling

(Competitive Cyclist) December 23, 2011

love these glasses, actually my second pair of Tifosi Tyrant. Last year I bought the brown polarized lens, which are better for bright sunlight. These are better for the cloudy days, or biking in and out of trees.

Tough Day 'n' Nite sunglasses

(Avid Cyclist) October 30, 2010

These things are great if you need an everything bike sunglasses. I used these to deflect the cold morning air while it was still dark out and when I arrived to meet my group, they slowly got darker as the sun came out. They are perfect when you want to avoid having to constantly changing lenses to meet the current lighting conditions. I really loved these. Unfortunately I was struck by a car while riding and when I hit the ground the lenses cracked at the slit on the impacted side. They didn't shatter which is a fantastic safety feature. All of my gear was destroyed so it gave me a little piece of mind knowing they held up well under the circumstances.

I love these glasses

(Casual/ Recreational) July 15, 2010

I love these glasses. The first couple of times I wore them I thought I had left the house without my glasses. I live in San Diego and I love that they change as I go in and out of shady places or into the bright sun. They are comfortable on my face even on long rides. This is my second pair... I scratched the lenses of my first pair but keep them around as back-up. I didn't like the idea of having to change lenses just because the conditions change while we are out on a ride. I am something between a casual rider and and avid cyclist and they are perfect for me. The only down side is that once in awhile if the sun is coming through a slit in my helmet but the rest of the lens is shaded, I have a temporary dark streak on the lens.

  • Lightweight
  • Good Protection
Cons
Uses
  • Road Cycling

Love these sunglasses

(Avid Cyclist) April 28, 2010

Live in the wonderful Pacific Northwest were you can see, rain, sunshine, clouds, fog, haze and just about every weather condition imaginable in one day. Didn't like the idea of having to change out lenses but wanted protection for my eyes even when I wasn't riding in bright light. During a recent ride I experienced bright sun, cloudy, partly cloudy and rain at various times during the day, never felt the need to squint nor did if feel like I couldn't see well enough, these glasses were awesome, and the vents are perfect for when your pushing up a hill and the steam is rolling off your face, the lenses didn't fog up.

Pros
  • Good Protection
  • Lightweight
  • Snug Fit
Cons
Uses

Love 'em

(Avid Cyclist) September 20, 2009

I bought these because I wanted to have one pair of glasses when i ride my bike from dark to daylight and these do the job. Usually after a ride I wear them home in the car and they lighten up and I don't have to squint from the sunlight. I have bangs and they tend to smug the upper part of my lenses. When we stop for more than 2 minutes my lenses do fog up a little. I like that the nose piece is adjustable. It comes with a sunglass pouch and a hard case. So far I'm very pleased with this purchase.
