Warm Rain Gear

(Avid Athlete) June 18, 2011

We've been getting a lot of rain in Illinois and this jacket does what it says. It's warm, but you can open the side panel and it breaths. It's bright so you can be seen. And It dry's fast. What I love about team estrogen is I ordered something else and the gal was like that's not going to do what you want it to do. And told me about this jacket. They know their products!!!!! that will sell me everytime.

Durable, dependable jacket

(Avid Athlete) May 17, 2011

For the price, this is an excellent foul-weather, high-visibility jacket. It fits comfortably (but not snugly, so it's not the most aerodynamic choice out there) and is very well made. Reflective striping is placed so that you're visible from the sides as well as front and back and your hand signals can be seen. Pockets are well sized and placed for holding keys, money, and phone. Collar stands up to block wind and rain.

I was hoping this could be my one and only bike jacket, but it doesn't quite work for that: the fabric is less breathable than some pricier options and can feel clammy on bare skin, so I'm still using a lighter jacket for mild conditions. But this is the one I take on long rides or multiday tours.

Pros
  • Warm
  • Waterproof
  • Highly visible
  • Lightweight
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Poor Ventilation
Uses
  • Wet Weather
  • Fit: Feels true to size

Excellent jacket

(Avid Athlete) December 26, 2010

I live in the rainy Pacific Northwest and have owned this jacket for almost a year. It's fantastic! Keeps me dry in the rain, and great in the summer with a short sleeve jersey while I'm warming up. The under-arm zippers allow it to breathe...I wear a couple of base layers in the winter, and stay plenty warm and dry. I'm tall, 5'10", and it covers everything...GREAT JACKET!!!
