RSE Bib Short

Susan says: I was lucky enough to receive a pair of these bib to test over the winter. I was very impressed. To start, the strap placement is good. Although the buckle seemed a little high on the chest when I first put it on, once I was riding I didn't notice it at all. The feel of the fabric is very smooth, and the stitch lines are flattering.

Although my current measurements put me square in a Sugoi size small, I wear a medium in the RS Short (The RS is too snug at the hip in the small). Before testing, I was given the impression that the RSE would be more compressive than the RS, so it was recommended to me that I test a M in the RSE as well. I agree that the RSE has more compressive fabric than the RS , but the overall cut of the RSE seems bigger. As well, the leg hole openings seem larger on the RSE than the RS, so that they didn't quite lay flush against my skin.

To take advantage of the compressiveness and get a better fit on the leg grippers, I think the small would be a more appropriate size for me. So, while I think the original RS runs a little small compared to the size chart, the RSE seems true to the size chart.

The chamois rocks. It was completely comfortable from the moment I put it on. So comfortable, in fact, that I forgot I was test-wearing a new short. The chamois is dense where needed, and completely unobtrusive and non-bulky where not. The stitch edge was smooth and caused zero discomfort.

My maiden voyage in this short was 55 miles. I'm sure I could have ridden another 55 and been just as comfortable as when I started. Based on this experience, I'll have no hesitation recommending these bibs, or the RSE short, to TeamEstrogen.com's customers!
