Katie says: I've had the Seca tires on my time trial bike for the last 4 months. On average I ride 6-10 hours a week. Riding along what I like to call "The Dirty Hwy 30" and pedaling in mind numbing hours....on the trainer, I've put these tires to the test! Knock on wood - Thus far I've had no flats! These tires have the quality and protection I can trust.

Folding Tire

A folding tire is a special version of the clincher tire. In this tire, the wire is replaced with a bundle of Kevlar fibers that allows it to fold easily and also makes the tire lighter than a comparable beaded tire by about 50 - 90 grams.

Note: Each tire is sold individually (one per box)

I purchased the hot pink tires and have only ridden 50 miles so far and already the pink has started to wear off. I dont have an opinion yet on their durability but I hope they last longer then the color. They werent cheap.

Good Road Tire

(Casual/ Recreational) October 25, 2012

Read reviews about these tires puncturing easily. I ride about 85-100 miles a week, all on the road and have been pleased with how they have held up even after punctures. Yes they will puncture from nails and wires, but are resistant to punctures by glass and rocks. Flat protection system reseals the tires nicely...but be sure the tire is rotating in the correct direction. I have gotten about 2000 miles on the rear tires and over 4000 on my front tires. Love the green.

Pros
  • Colors To Match Bike
  • Durable Rubber
  • Resistant To Element
  • Great Traction
Cons
Uses

Still a great tire

(Avid Cyclist) December 27, 2011

Love the way they match my bike colors. Rated these tires before and still like them, yes they get flats, but I get about 2500-3000 miles to the tires. As I ride only on roads and shoulders (no bike paths/lanes in my area) there is a lot of debris so I feel they are pretty resistant to punctures.

Pros
  • Durable Rubber
  • Great Traction
Cons
  • Wears Easily
Uses
  • Road Biking

Great tire

(Casual/ Recreational) May 9, 2011

Great tire, was using Michelin Pro Race and would get flats almost every ride. Since switching to the Serfas Seca, I have had one flat due to a sharp piece of metal, replaced the tube and patched the tire and have ridden over 2500 miles on this set, am ordering a replacement set as I don't know how much longer the repair will hold. Tires ride wonderfully in both wet and dry conditions.

Prone to Flats!

(Avid Cyclist) July 9, 2010

I bought one tire on the recommendation of the bike shop. Although these tires seem to have a good ride it is not worth the time in repairing flats. I got two flats within one week on the third week of ownership. These tires are far from puncture resistant. One flat was caused by a square piece of glass that worked it way in causing me to patch the inside of the tire so the innertube would not press through.[...] I highly recommend not purchasing these tires!

Pros
  • Good Ride
Cons
  • Prone To Flats
Uses
  • None

Mixed feelings

(Avid Cyclist) July 4, 2010

These tires had a great grip and little rolling resistance. But after 500 miles I noticed the rear tire looked as if it were dry-rotted. It may have only been that one tire, but I was not willing to risk it. I took both tires off trashed the one and saved the other for my trainer this winter.

Pros
  • Great Traction
Cons
  • Wears Easily
Uses
  • Road Biking

Fantastic tire for the price

(Avid Cyclist) May 21, 2010

Bought these for my wife, mostly because they were pink and I thought they would match her Pink Trek 2200. However they are not 'breast cancer pink' so they do not quite match the bike.
The performance of these tires is fantastic. They roll fast. No flats after 1 century and many local fast rides. She hit 40mph on a descent recently and they gripped well. Made me decide to buy a set for my bike.

Pros
  • Great Traction
  • Durable Rubber
  • Lightweight
Cons
Uses

Excellent Tire

(Competitive Cyclist) September 10, 2009

Excellent tire, will not let you down on long rides. I used the new serfas pink tires on 4 double century rides this year and never flatted once! Excellent gripping quality on cornering and descending Glendora Mountain Road. Best part is they are pink and I represent Avon crusade for a cure to Breast Cancer. Superb tire.
