$55.95
#SE-RX922V

The RX Ladies bike saddle has been engineered to prevent cycling-induced genital numbness. A front to back slot shifts rider's weight to the inner thighs and buttocks, avoiding contact with the perineum, relieving pelvic discomfort. The dual density base technology absorbs shock and allows the base to flex in critical areas. Multi density platforms combine critical support and padding for day-long comfort.

I have two of these seats

(Casual/ Recreational) July 30, 2014

I first bought this seat for the back of our tandem. You can't see what's coming from the back of a tandem so it can be very uncomfortable ride. I am able to ride as far and as long as I want with this seat. It is not cushy like a gel seat, just supportive in all the right ways. When I bought my first road bike this year it came with a "female" seat. It was absolutely miserable. After trying to get used to it, I finally ordered another one of these seats and it has made all the difference. It is a little klunky looking because it is wider than a typical road bike seat, but I could care less because I am comfortable.

Best seat!

(Casual/ Recreational) August 29, 2013

This seat replaced another female specific saddle. The other seat started to cause back and bottom pain after 15 miles of riding usually on a multi-use path. The Rx's first time out was 17 miles on the road and I completly forgot I had seat problems in the past. Great saddle.

RX Saddle

(Competitive Cyclist) April 9, 2013

I do race competitively and am used to a long nose on the saddle (all Terry), so it took a ride or two to remember I couldn't move all over it.
That said, the saddle is perfect for commuting -no regrets

super comfortable

(Commuter) September 3, 2012

I commute to work 10 miles each way. My old seat was fine until I started riding 4-5 days/week. Then it became painful even when not riding. I should have got this seat a year ago. I love how the center part (the "nose") is much smaller than a regular seat and you don't even feel it. The only part of the seat you feel pressure is at the sit bones. The slit in the middle keeps it cool. I also like the texture - it's not slippery like my old seat - which makes a difference in summer. I am back to riding 4-5 days a week again. Overall very satisfied. The best part I added to my bike.

Nice Saddle

(Casual/ Recreational) August 28, 2012

I would like it if the seat was just a little larger. For some reason, I keep sliding forward on it. But, I have to admit having an opening directly down the middle of the entire seat is what fit the bill for me.

  • Good Padding
Cons
  • Seat is a bit short

"Dont just read the specs"

(Avid Cyclist) August 24, 2012

I really like the saddle, but if you think the saddle is short you are probably right. Even though the specs say the saddle is 10" x 7" my saddle measures only 9" x 7", so keep that in mind if it matters to you.

Good saddle to combat female discomfort

(Casual/ Recreational) August 21, 2012

Bought this for my wife for use on our tandem. I enjoy long distances daily, and the standard racing saddle on the tandem was way too hard and uncomfortable. This saddle has helped her be much more comfortable -- it is still a bicycle seat, so it's not going to be like sitting on a pillow for those that aren't used to sitting on a saddle. After adjusting the angle I think that we can make this one work -- and she is a tough customer! Also liked the 90 day return policy, although we won't be taking advantage of it. It's a keeper.

Good replacement

(Casual/ Recreational) June 12, 2012

My softer saddle caused irritation to softer parts on long rides. This one certainly is an improvement. I don't have any others to compare it with, but it is miles ahead of the previous one. I can't tell if it is slightly too wide or too short, but after 200 miles I'm happy enough to keep it. I use it on a street bike, usually 15 miles a day during the week and longer weekend rides. At first this new saddle made my 15 year old Cannondale feel like a new bike.

Finally, a comfortable saddle!

(Casual/ Recreational) May 16, 2012

Bought this for my indoor cycle/spin cycle after trying several others. The saddle my bike came with was horrible so I tried out some others before I finally found the RX Saddle by Serfas. If you are having a hard time finding a pain-free saddle try this one!!

No numbness!

(Avid Cyclist) January 3, 2012

The bike seat that I've used for years was discontinued, so I went the rounds looking for a new one that I loved. This was the third seat I tried and I'm sticking with this one! (I came back to buy a second back-up, that's how much I love it.) I ride my bike every day 20-50 miles and if I can't ride outside I ride my trainer indoors. I've always had issues with numbness after my long rides and this seat doesn't do that. Definitely a keeper. My only complaint is that it feels a bit short. I've been using it for over a month now and feel like I'm used to the length, but wish it was just an inch or so longer. I'd recommend that if you find a seat that you love, buy several!

Worth every penny and then some!

(Casual/ Recreational) September 19, 2011

I am nearly 62 years old and have recently dusted off my 28 year old Nishiki (no longer manufactured). Have always enjoyed riding, but endured pain in the girly parts. Not any more. This seat was the answer to my problem. What a joy to ride again, without pain!

Really Comfortable

(Avid Cyclist) July 27, 2011

I felt silly buying this saddle because it looks so bulky (it weighs twice as much as a normal saddle), and it's got a huge RX symbol on it. But I'm so glad I did! I've tried women's specific saddles before from Terry and they were all ridiculously painful. The last one I tried was the Terry Cromoly Butterfuly, and the cut away, the sit bones platform, everything felt like it was in the wrong place. But this Serfas saddle is really comfortable. It flexes in two directions, has a great shape, and great padding, but still feels plenty firm enough after a 50 mile ride. I had no chafing or numbness problems. It puts NO pressure on the soft tissue, so if you've ever gone numb in that area you would really appreciate this design. My only qualm is that it's a little short- I like a longer nose so I can come forward a bit when I'm climbing. And I can't vouch for its durability since I've only ridden it for 2 weeks. I don't race, so I don't mind the extra weight, but I do ride about 150 miles a week and I'm feeling really good about this saddle so far.

Service comments: Great service. My saddle only took two days to get here.

(Casual/ Recreational) May 19, 2010

LOVE At First Ride

(Commuter) February 27, 2010

Since prices for saddles varies greatly, I thought I'd start with the [$] model. I put it on our tandem, and from the very first ride, it's just perfect. I plan to order one for my commuter too. Comfortable, fits in all the right places. I'm really happy with it.
