Great shoe-of course, it's Sidi

(Conservative) April 2, 2015

These shoes are best for outdoor cycling or mountain biking. However, I purchased it for spinning since the class bike would not accommodate the Look road shoe cleat. Yes, this is total overkill, but at first I bought a cheap shoe, and it did not fit right. So I splurged big time (way more expensive than my Sidi entry level road shoes) and went to the brand I trust, and of course, it fits and feels great. Later, I found out you can buy skateboarding or commuter casual shoes, which have spd cleat holes...

The Best MTB Shoe, Also Great for Road

(Stylish) February 21, 2015

My husband is a avid cyclist and competes in several endurance events during the year. He has several pairs of Sidi road cycling shoes and had very high praise for Sidi. When I was getting used to clipless pedals on my new bicycle, I used SPD cleats, the same as I used in spin class. I tried these same shoes in the road version with the large Shimano road cleats and, frankly, hated them. I had a hard time clipping in and out and was very discouraged. My husband told me to quit listening to the cycling "know-it-alls" that were telling I had to have road cycling shoes and cleats to be a strong cyclists. He suggested that I go back to the SPD cleats common to spin classes and mountain biking. Following that suggestion, I purchased the Sidi Dominator shoes and LOVE them. I can easily clip in and out on my road bike and, as an added bonus, I can easily walk in these shoes off the bike which makes these shoes a perfect choice for bicycle touring.

  • Price Is Higher Than Some

Ruby Slippers!

(Stylish) February 8, 2015

Sidi makes the best shoes for cycling, hands down. My current pair of Dominators are 6 years old and I needed an upgrade. After searching the high-end shoes Sidi makes for men, I wanted a shoe that didn't have a carbon bottom and I wanted the rubber piece on the center of the sole. These are for cyclocross so that rubber piece is important for not slipping a pedal. I thought I was going to have to settle for plain black dominators again until I stumbled on these gorgeous shoes.

When I took them out of the box, I think I squealed :) These are gorgeous! Hot hot hot shoes! And I know I can trust the quality that comes with Sidi. Even my husband and 6 year old son really like them.

Who cares if they don't match my pink/blue/purple paisley print kit ;) At least my feet will look fast!

Arrest Me Red & Consistent SIDI

(Stylish) December 26, 2014

Totally consistent fit form and function as my road SIDI. I size up 1 size and add atheletic orthotics which provide the added support for old feet on long rides. Love the added comfort and ease in walking in MTB. Using these on our Tandem where we tend to do more social activity/walking. Keeping my road SIDI on the single bike. And, yes -- the red is too much fun!

  • Comfortable
Cons

Awesome!

(Stylish) November 17, 2014

These shoes rock! They are functional on my road bike and look awesome while doing it. I love them, when I look down at my pedals on a long grueling ride, they inspire me. The only thing I added was inserts with arch supports which they need for long rides. If you take that advice, go up 1 size and you will be great!

Cons
  • Needs arch support

Excellent product - Great color

(Conservative) October 7, 2014

This is my 2nd pair of Sidi shoes. The first lasted for about 8 years of regular bike commuting and mountain biking. Well worth the initial investment as they hold up well, fit great, and are comfortable for all sorts of riding. Plus, the patent red leather is hard to beat.

Screaming, Amazing RED

(Trendy) July 17, 2014

Although "shoes are for wearing" if you wear shoes, they should be something that stands out from the crowd. Sidi bike shoes are of excellent quality, are durable with a good fit but these RED ones clear any bar of style, trend and comfort (and go so well with my red bike shorts that I wish more companies made--)

Stunning! Great fit for a narrow heel

(Stylish) July 9, 2014

I love the bright red color. I've worn the Sidi Dominator for years and was waiting for a fun new color. I usually buy a 38/ 7.5 in streetwear shoes but the 40 works best in the Sidi cycling shoes. This is a great fitting shoe for someone with a narrow heel (mixed last). I have not gotten these wet yet so I hope that the beautiful red does not run onto my socks. This has happened with the blue Sidi Dominators in the past.

Great MTB riding shoe!!

(Stylish) January 31, 2013

I was unsure about ordering my MTB cycling shoes online opposed to trying on the shoes for a perfect fit. The customer service rep. @ team estrogen was amazing very helpful. She assisted in my order for the correct sizing. Shoes fit wonderful, very stylish. I ordered the silver mambo and love them. I am a US size 6.5 and ordered the Sidi 38.5. I use them for indoor cycling and the ride is great compared to wearing sneakers. I plan on using them for my outdoor bike once the weather changes.

Narrow feet? Try Sidi Cycling shoes.

(Stylish) May 1, 2012

I have a super narrow heel and narrow foot. Sidi shoes are the only ones that seem to work for me; I have 4 pairs. One reason, they are Italian and the toe box is not so giagantic. I do put in a Specialized sole insert that makes the fit even better. Sidi shoes are extremely durable. This is my first pair of MB shoes that I bouht for my winter bike and indoor spinning. Sidi will not disappoint you!

My new favorite shoes

(Stylish) January 31, 2012

I love these cycling shoes. Aside from the beautiful snake skin materials used, they are so comfortable to wear. I can adjust the arch support for perfect comfort so easily, a click on the closure. I believe they will last a really long time they are made so well.

I LUV these shoes!!

(Style Driven) November 29, 2010

I have saved my extra pennies over the years for these shoes after coveting my friends shoes. I got these mainly to wear for spinning class and debated on the silver pair but decided to get the bright blue since I wear too much black! Love the color combo but love the fit, comfort and design more. Those Italians, they sure design shoes well!!

I got these practically the next day and as soon as I could get cleats on these, I sped to a class. I do not regret investing in these shoes - having a couple of other biking shoes makes me appreciate how well these fit and how well they help me be excited about a 5:30am spinning class. I plan on starting to save for the silver Dominator shoes to use with my mountain bike! You won't regret the investment, they should last for many years!

Service comments: Delivery was very prompt, practically got these overnight rather than having to wait the 3-5 days!!

Great Shoe

(Comfort Driven) February 11, 2010

I got these for spin classes and loved them so much I got a second pair for my road bike. I like that I can walk around on these when we make stops for refueling. I find it easier than having a road shoe.
They are comfortable, and that is my big concern. If a shoe does not hit the bottom of your foot in the right place your will never feel like you are one with the pedal. These are so worth the money you pay for them.

hot !

(Comfort Driven) January 4, 2010

These are hot shoes! Before I got my Sidis, I was wearing a pair of old, really worn out entry-level mountain shoes. Of course I notice a huge difference in the stiffness of the sole and the overall support of the Sidis. I felt so much faster in cross races, though this is probably just in my head! The optional toe spikes are a MUST for muddy races or trails. Under best uses, I checked ALL categories because I end up wearing this shoe everywhere, even though it's more techy than a typical commuting shoe. Maybe this is a little like driving an S.U.V. in the city? In any case, I DO take these offroad, and they DO perform. I've even taken a shower in them and they clean up just like new!
