Great Shorts

(Avid Cyclist) July 17, 2013

This is my second pair of Shebeest shorts. My first pair I purchased several years ago & they look, fit just like my new ones. I was thrilled to find them again only wish they had a solid black color. I'm short 5" and weigh 103 lbs. I bought the xs & they fit perfect. The length is great & no grippers. Waist band is non binding.

soft, comfy fabric

(Avid Cyclist) March 14, 2011

The only negative about these shorts is the color splash angles on the thigh at a place that makes your thighs look bigger. Not much of a big deal when you're on the bike but looks funny when standing up. Otherwise the waistband and leg bands are comfortable and stay in place without elastic. Padding is good for long rides.

  • Good Padding

  • Dries Quickly

Fabulous Cycling Short

(Avid Cyclist) January 18, 2011

I have been searching high and low for truly comfortable short- namely the chamois- been through 12 companies and finally found it in Shebeest and 2 other companies. Shebeest is by far the most affordable option. I bought the Splice shorts w/Blue accent. Love the color, fabric and detailing on this short. Hooray for no elastic/silicone leg and waist bands! The only challenge I found was keeping my leg warmers in place w/out the leg gripper- I can deal. Fabric is soft and warm, not sure what's going to happen in April when temps here jump to 80 and beyond till Nov.
What I appreciate about Shebeest bottoms the most is I can still wear the knickers I bought years ago when I was 30# heavier with comfort. Good looking and technical all at a price that won't break the bank, love it!

Pros
  • Good Fit
  • Warm
  • Durable
  • Breathable
  • Comfortable
  • Good Padding
Cons
  • Chamois dries slow
Uses
  • Mountain Biking
  • Cold Weather
  • Road Biking
  • Commuting
  • Waist: Feels true to size
  • Length: Feels true to length

Best shorts for hot, humid weather

(Avid Cyclist) October 18, 2010

I have tried several brands over six years and these are my favorite by far. They're great for hot and humid Houston weather. I felt much less chafe than with other brands, even at the end of 53 miles. The red stripe is sassy! I also like that they don't have silicon grippers-you can put on track shorts after your ride and not look like your thigh was strangled with a rubber band for 4 hours. I felt like these were high quality without a huge price tag. Would like to see black/black or black/orange combo.

  • Breathable
  • Dries Quickly
  • Comfortable
  • Good Fit

Awesome shorts

(Avid Cyclist) July 1, 2010

I own a few pairs of other brands but when I put those on, they felt great. They are nice and snug and make you feel supported somehow. I like the legs a lot, with the no grip wide bands, yet they held in place just fine. Rode a good while and had no problem, the padding is fine.
