Earned it's 5 stars!

(Casual/ Recreational) September 23, 2014

I used these shorts everyday during vacation and now a couple of times a week. I absolutely love them and would recommend them to anyone. They don't ride up, and they don't constrict the thigh. I'm 214lbs and just starting out biking with distances of 4-7 miles, and these work well for me and are comfortable. I read the reviews of several different pairs before choosing these and I couldn't be more pleased. Great product!

  • Breathable
  • Comfortable
  • Good Padding

Amazing shorts

(Casual/ Recreational) August 5, 2014

I use these shorts for Spin class and they are great! They fit well and the waist doesn't roll up. I appreciate that they do not dig into my legs and don't slide/roll up in the legs either. The seams feel strong and the shorts are well made. Make sure you look at the sizing chart!

will buy these again

(Casual/ Recreational) July 4, 2014

I have 2 pairs of these and will buy more. Got rid of all my other shorts. They have a longer leg and a higher waist, which I love since I have a longer than average torso. The waist does not roll down at all. Best bike shorts I have ever worn.

Best cycling shorts ever!

(Avid Cyclist) October 30, 2013

Really wish I had at least three more pairs of these! I recently participated in the MS-150 bike ride and wore these shorts on the first day. After 75 miles and several long hours in the saddle, I had absolutely ZERO discomfort in the seat region and am pretty sure I was the only one who didn't groan when getting back on the bike the second day! My only regret is not having a second pair for the ride back home. These shorts are a perfect length and the grippers at the bottom have lots of give and do not squeeze the legs. Will definitely be purchasing more of these!

27 Miles

(Casual/ Recreational) August 26, 2013

I started biking at over 350lbs and the compression issues were a huge limitation. These bike shorts enabled me to go 27 miles the first time out. What an amazing morning. Thank you for giving us larger gals a bike-short so we can enjoy the ride too.

Bike shorts that fit!

(Casual/ Recreational) July 31, 2013

I bike 50-100 miles per week commuting and recreational riding. I have large thighs and have had difficulty finding bike shorts to fit comfortably. I ordered the 1X and these are perfect. They are longer so I don't get the binding/bulging effect at mid-thigh. I like that they come to my waist and hold in the tummy. The fabric is smooth, strong and very comfortable. I actually wear these under a light nylon type short as I'm not comfortable wearing only spandex. The padding is a bit wide in the butt and seems more than necessary but it's not really a problem. I've ordered 3 pair I like them so much - I bike almost daily so I always have a pair ready. I've also ordered their capri length version for cool weather riding - same product that comes to mid-calf.

Pros
  • Good Fit
  • Comfortable
  • Durable
Cons
Uses
  • Long Rides
  • Warm Weather
  • Commuting

finally a bike short, not a sausage casi

(Avid Cyclist) May 13, 2013

I ride several times a week and am planning to increase to almost daily with some touring. I had come to think that I would just have to feel like a sausage whenever I wore bike clothes, but these shorts changed my mind. They fit but do not feel that they are at their stretch limit. They are very comfortable. The padding may be a bit too wide - but will be definitely appreciated when I start touring. My only reason not to give these five stars is that they are rather high waisted and come up quite a bit higher than I would prefer. But at least they don't roll down as I'm riding. And I definitely don't have to worry about gaps on my back. I am still very happy with the short and foresee getting much use from them.

Pros
  • Comfortable
  • Good Fit
  • Good Padding
Cons
  • High waisted
Uses
  • Road Biking
  • Long Rides
  • Warm Weather
  • Waist: Feels true to size
  • Length: Feels too long

My favorite cycling shorts!

(Casual/ Recreational) July 1, 2011

I ride an unconventional noseless seat due to medical issues. The pad on this short is excellent for my more upright riding style. I ride to work as often as the weather allows, and I've ordered three of these shorts so I always have a pair ready to go. The most comfortable shorts I've ever bought. They really are as good as the reviews claim.

Service comments: Delivered promptly in good condition. I did have to order only one pair at a time due to low stock. I can see why the stock was low though, these are great shorts!

Pros
  • Good quality
  • Comfortable
  • Good Fit
  • Good Padding
  • Not too bulky
Cons

Good Quality, comfortable short

(Avid Cyclist) July 26, 2010

I just returned from a Boston -> Montreal -> Boston ride (over 700 miles, 10 days of riding); and wore these SheeBeests for most of it. I had bought a pair of Terry and these SheeBeests from here, to see which I liked best, and though I'd like the other better because they were a little longer and softer fabric. But it turned out that the paddling on the See Beests was better, and the fabric more robust. I ended up buying a another pair of SheBeests in Montreal and only wearing the Terrys for the really short riding days.

The SheBeest Nirvana shorts, with their thin padding stripe in the middle might be even better, just because the width of the padding was sometimes a bit of an issue, but I wear a 2X, so the options are pretty limited. These were good shorts.

  • Durable
  • Good Padding
  • Good Fit
Cons
Uses
  • Commuting
  • Long Rides
  • Road Biking
