Katie says: "I sweat. A lot. (Wo)man-made lake a lot. When riding my trainer inside, it's normal for me to change shorts 60 to 90 mins in, but with this short, I don't have to. I recently used this short during a 2.5hr spin. The chamois never felt damp, nor did the fabric. In fact, it wasn't until I got off the bike that I noticed how sweaty I had become. I think the true test of a performance garment is using it without noticing it. The S-Pro passed the test with an A+. I've now dubbed my S-Pro the Super Performance Short!"

Love, love these shorts. The ONLY improvement I would make would be to have a SHORTER inseam as I'm vertically challegened. Maybe have them in two lengths...5 inch and 7 inch. Otherwise, the fit is true to size and the shorts are very comfortable. The best feature of the shorts is the side back pocket as it is perfect for your phone. I've never understood why bike shorts do not have pockets because they come in so handy. Please never stop making these shorts!

Best long distance short chamois!

(Competitive Cyclist) February 27, 2013

I am an endurance rider and these shorts have the best chamois I have ever tried and I have been searching, believe me. The fabic over the chamois is very comfortable and doesn't chafe. The chamois stitching and edges are very soft, I don't even feel them when I ride. My only complaint is that I wish they came with a longer leg. This length is great if you've got super lean legs but on my thick quads it squeezes me in an awkward spot that gives me rolls above and below the gripper and just isn't a flattering length. Having said that, I still bought 2 more pairs because they are so comfortable for 6 plus hours in the saddle.

Pros

Can't ride without 'em

(Avid Cyclist) July 24, 2012

This is my second pair. When I ordered them I wasn't 100% sure they were the same as the pair I already had. When the parcel arrived and I opened it, I was so happy to find out they were exactly the same. I could wear these shorts for every bike ride I do. No complaints, ever!

Good shorts

(Avid Cyclist) December 28, 2011

I like these shorts, however they're not my favorite. The padding for aero position riding is fair. The only thing I'd say I didn't like, but can tolerate, is that the waistband tends to roll.

Pros
  • Good Fit
  • Breathable
  • Dries Quickly
Cons
  • Waistband rolls
  • Padding fair

S-Pro Bike Shorts- The Best

(Avid Cyclist) November 15, 2011

Designed to fit a woman's body. Snug, smooth fit, padding in the right places, and a great waist band. Leg length not too long which is great for us woman with shorter legs. Very discrete pocket on the hip where you can stash Cliff Shots or energy gels. Material doesn't become transparent when stretched over the buttocks when riding. Very important because no one wants to see butt cracks when riding.

Pros
  • Good Padding
  • Good Fit
  • Comfortable
  • Pocket on right hip
  • Love the waist band

Simply the best

(Avid Cyclist) October 17, 2011

I bought one pair to alternate w some of my existing shorts on a 620-mile ride recently. By Day 2, I was washing and wearing these every day till I got to a hotel where I had a SECOND PAIR of S-Pro shorts FEDEXed to me. I will not do back-to-back long rides in anything else. Period. All my other shorts are relegated to commuting.

Service comments: Ordered these before the ride, but also ordered a second pair mid-ride. It was waiting for me at the hotel when I arrived. Yay!

Bought a 2nd Pair!

(Avid Cyclist) August 18, 2011

After having to return several other brands, I purchased this one. I liked this short so well, I bought a second pair. The waist is a little lower in the front but not too low and the back provides plenty of coverage. The material the short is made from isn't too shiny and supports. A lower price, would always be welcomed but I'm so pleased with the product I'll pay for it!

Comfy

(Avid Cyclist) July 12, 2011

The waist band on these shorts is fantastic! They are a bit more padded than my spuik shorts but they have been comfy so far and have washed up well. The pocket on the back right hip is the most well-placed pocket I've ever seen. The only thing is that they are a bit shorter than I expected...will be better for tan lines this summer, tho.

LOVE these shorts!

(Avid Cyclist) June 23, 2011

I LOVE these shorts! I rode 60 miles in a ride recently with these shorts, and didn't have any problems. I love that they have a pocket in them too, that you don't usually get in shorts like these. It fits my cell phone perfectly and safely with the elastic strap on top of the pocket. The chamois is perfect, not too big and bulky and no seems. I can't say enough good about them. I've had them for about a month and have put a lot of miles in them. I ordered another pair and used the coupon I received for ordering this pair, so got a great deal! The sizing was just right according to the size chart (I notice that Shebeest jerseys seem to run small, but the shorts seem to be just right). The grippers in the legs aren't too tight either (no my thighs are not small).

Service comments: The shipping was quick. I'm very happy.

Shebeest Sizing

(Avid Cyclist) May 15, 2011

I have to agreee with the cyclist who commented on the sizing. I too was a small when Shebeest first came on the market. My weight is still the same (actually a few lbs less), but the size small is now too small and the medium is too big. Disappointing, because I love the shorts otherwise. I m barely 5 feet and the medium shorts look and feel like a bulky diaper. I think the sizing is somewhat inconsistent.I would buy them again, but need to order a couple of each size to see what fits best.

Best shorts ever!

(Casual/ Recreational) March 14, 2011

The most comfortable shorts I own. I have worn them for a few 3-hour-long mtb rides and the chamois, waist and leg elastic/grippers are all ridiculously comfortable. The waist and legs are comfortably firm but don't give any Michelin man bulges. I normally have discomfort at the back of my waist from the elastic on my shorts after a couple of hours on the bike, but these shorts have a super comfortable waist and I didn't have any problems with them.

Almost Perfect

(Avid Cyclist) February 19, 2011

These shorts are awesome! My 2nd pair of SheBeest's, my first choice are my SSS's. However, these are my 2nd choice. The chamois is perfect, the fit and leg length perfect, the only caveat is how low they are in the front. I am a short-waisted girl myself, so I can't imagine someone longer waisted wearing these. It just makes me a little self-conscious, but because the shorts are so wonderful, I can overlook it while I am riding. It's when I get off the bike I have to make sure my shirt is long enough! Very durable, comfortable, and don't give me sausage legs! Love them!

Great Short

(Avid Cyclist) November 29, 2010

I wore this short in El Tour De Tucson and my behind felt great!!! I didn't even start to notice any discomfort until mile 100. I have had several other shorts and always had discomfort and chaffing around mile 50. This is the best short I have ever had. I love them!!!!!

A superior cycling short

(Avid Cyclist) October 1, 2010

This short is by far my favorite. It is the most comfortable cycling short I own.The wide waist band fits beautifully around my waist with out any pinching or seams marks. The moisture management is superb. I cycle year round in Singapore where it is very humid. The padding and fabric transfers the sweat so that it does not collect and drip down my leg as in other brands that I have worn. The padding is just right. It does not feel like a diaper. The only concern I do have is the strength of seams and fabric. The first day I wore the shorts I was involved in a crash. Landing on my rear, apparently right on a seam. The fabric pulled from the seam, and split. (I weigh 49kilos and never had shorts split before)
Since the fit and feel of these shorts were superb, decided to give the shorts another try. I am glad I did and am waiting to see how they hold up to numerous wears and washings. If they do hold up I will order another pair.

  • Breathable
  • Good Padding

Awesome shorts

(Avid Cyclist) November 23, 2009

I bought these shorts after reading the review in bicycling magazine. I think they are a bit overpriced, but I do LOVE them. I have worn another brand of shorts excusively over the past 15 years but did not like that some seams were leaving uncomfortable marks after long rides. I tried these and right off the bat I knew I had a winner and would never go back. Very comfortable for all riding, no hot spots at all. Just did a century in them over the weekend and they were perfect. I live in AZ and found them fine for all weather, even the summer heat. I took the advice and ordered one size up - perfect fit!

Best. Short. Ever.

(Avid Cyclist) November 21, 2009

Being taller, I always feel a bit naked in biking shorts due to short inseams. These have a great longer inseam that allows me to show just enough--not too much--leg. The most comfortable shorts I own.

Drylite Fabric please

(Avid Cyclist) July 27, 2009

My weight hasn't changed since Shebeest first began, but the sizes have definitely gotten smaller in the last few years. I've always been a small, but 3 yrs ago, the small was TOO small. I should have returned it.If in doubt, go up 1 size.
This time, I ordered a medium, which I like, but I'm fearful of stretching. All I can say is your smalls are now too small and I am the same weight.

Pros
