Sandy says: "The Jimi wallet is great! I've had mine for several months and I love the simplicity. It carries just enough – emergency cash, a bus token, drivers' license, insurance card, and one credit card – without weighing me down. (Yes, there's just enough room left over to pick up a business card or two!) I slide it into a jersey pocket, and I'm set for my ride! It's waterproof, mud-spatter-proof, and danged near bullet-proof."

Love my Jimi Wallet!

(Enthusiast) June 11, 2014

One never knows what might happen while cycling, so I always carry my ID and a card explaining my medical condition in my jersey, along with extra money, a credit card and emergency contact info. Though I wear a medical ID bracelet, I've always felt the more documentation on my person, the better chance that I will get proper treatment in the event that I cannot speak for myself. (Really, everyone should carry emergency info with them.) When I saw the Jimi Wallet on Team Estrogen, it seemed a great way to not only carry these items, but to have them accessible in one convenient package. It opens and closes easily, carries all I need, and the case keeps everything dry so my folding money doesn't get all sweaty. The design is lightweight and slim, and I don't notice it at all when it's in a back jersey pocket. Whenever I'm done cycling, I just drop it into my helmet so I'll remember to take it along on my next ride. I've shown it to other cyclists and they've all thought it was a great product. So far I love my Jimi Wallet, and I'm hoping that it lasts a long time.

Great cycling wallet

(Enthusiast) January 26, 2012

This is my second Jimi wallet; the first one wore out after several years of use. I bought it to use on bike rides. It fits well in my saddle bag or pocket. It holds my ID, insurance card, my doctor's business card, one or two credit cards and some paper money (3-4 bills). The only thing it doesn't hold is coins. When the plastic hinge broke after being opened and closed many, many times, I didn't hesitate to buy a new one.

Everyone asks where I got it!

(Enthusiast) November 26, 2010

I take it cycling, slip it in my purse for travel or put it in a small clutch for evening wear. It's great. Whereever I pull it out, people want to know where I got it.

Cool item

I really thought that plastic would break within a month of my use (I usually break everything quickly). It's still in avid use for almost a year now - with no indication of breaking

Jimi is good, could be better

(Enthusiast) February 18, 2010

I've been using my Jimi wallet several times daily for about 8 or 9 months. I love it, but it could be a little better. I have usually carried 1 or 2 more cards than it was designed for, and it has worn out and needs replaced. Shortly after I got it, I noticed that it wouldn't close completely at the edges when the middle "latch" was snapped closed. I had carried too many cards, and the plastic hinge had stretched, leaving some sharp edges exposed at the edges of the wallet body. It wasn't enough to hurt my fingers, just a little bothersome as I found myself trying to make it completely close on more than one occasion. A few days ago, the "latch" part wore out, and broke off, so now it won't stay closed. The outer plastic is similar to what's used on a bike bottle, firm and durable, yet squeezable. I felt like it was a good durable plastic, except where it was used as a hinge. It could only take so many bends until it broke. The inner plastic on the money clip is a harder plastic, like used for a drinking glass. On the plus side, I really do like the overall concept. It's really easy to flip open, slide out the card with the push of a thumb, hand it to the cashier, and slide it right back in. I've had many, many compliments on it, and questions about where to get one, from cashiers and other customers. I like the large selection of colors. I like having an open window to my ID, so I don't have to dig it out, speeding up check-out time. I don't need a money clip, but having the clip inside does make it easier to use as a wallet. On the downside, the plastic behind the clip is as thick as another card, and I would like to be able to carry a couple of extra cards. I don't like the sharp angular edges. A softer rounded edge would be more attractive in my back pocket than a "box in my pocket", and more comfortable to hold. Despite my complaints, I will say that it's received a lot of abuse from me, and held up rather well. The pros outweigh the cons by far. I will be buying another one to replace this one, and will enjoy getting to select a new color.
