EXCELLENT

(Avid Cyclist) October 7, 2014

Best arm coolers I have tried so far, and I have tried lots. No elastic or other types of rubber my skin does not like. They do not fall down like others.

Pros
  • Comfortable
  • Dry Easily
Cons

  • Casual Riding
  • Daily Use
  • Mountain Biking

Pretty cool

(Avid Cyclist) September 5, 2014

They definitely help with heat and sun on long rides. I would still recommend sun screen underneath for full protection. I'm a petite woman so the sleeves are a bit long on me, but oddly tight on my biceps (which aren't super developed).

Pros
  • Comfortable
  • Dry Easily
Cons
Uses
  • Road Cycling

too warm for me

(Avid Cyclist) June 15, 2014

The sun protection is good. These are too warm for me. I live in North Carolina. I push them down when I am climbing any hill. They are fine on flat and downhill. They feel cooler when I wet them. I bought Canari arm coolers for my husband which are thinner. I am going to trade with him. I bought Medium in white.

Effective and comfortable

(Avid Cyclist) November 26, 2013

I bought these sun sleeves more for vanity purposes as I'm getting to that age of sun spots showing up on my hands and arms from the unrelenting Australian sun.

It's a relief to have some areas I don't need to slop sunblock on and hope it lasts the ride; the sunsleeves have provided great coverage and keep my arms cool as promised.

They can feel warm when facing the sun and with a tailwind as there's little breeze, but in all other circumstances they've been amazing.

There's been no bunching or excessive gripping and they haven't shifted a bit on rides. I bought the white and am thinking of buying the black so I always have a clean pair to go.

  • Cooling

Found them too heavy for Texas summers

(Avid Cyclist) September 21, 2012

While I am a huge proponent of wearing sun protective sleeves, I found these (and the companion leg coolers) were just too thick and hot to wear in Texas summer heat, even when I got them wet. I think they would be perfect for a different climate (I can't think of anything more perfect to wear in Colorado, for example), but sadly, if you live in a truly high heat locale, there are better sleeve options for sun protection and cooling. I swapped these for the Craft sleeves, also sold by TE, which are way more comfortable when wearing in high heat in my opinion.

I'm going to check yes on whether I'd recommend them to a friend, but with the caveat that it would depend on where there lived.

Arm Candy!

Armed and ready!

NC mountains ride - wore these sunscreen sleeves with ss biking shirt - in addition to sunscreen, sleeves provided just enough wind block and warmth for arms. White sleeves with orange ss shirt helped other riders and drivers see me.

Actually Keep You Cooler

(Avid Cyclist) June 6, 2012

I was VERY sceptical that these products could actually keep you cooler. I bought them to keep the sun off -- cycling and participating in triathlons in Hawaii means that you are exposed to sun every single day we ride. But I recently wore them in a half-ironman triathlon and not only did they protect me from sunburn, the kept me SIGNFICANTLY cooler than if I had not been wearing them. Not just by reflecting heat, but by actively wicking and utlizing any breeze that came our way. I've also worn them on very still, humid days and they still manage to keep me cooler than if I had not been wearing them.

Pros
  • Comfortable
  • Cooling
  • Wicking
  • Durable
Cons
