Worthless

(Endurance, Endurance Cyclist 50mi, Practical) July 6, 2014

Bought PI elite gel-vent 3 years ago, and they are great gloves. BUT:

THIS glove has the same name but in no way resembles my original gloves.

I'm posting the side-by-side picture so you can see the difference. The original had broad areas of padding everywhere you'd need them. THIS one has tiny little squares of padding. Rough estimate, this one covers about half of the area that the originals protected with padding.

Virtually useless on long rides because the slightest change in hand position is quite likely to leave your hand with no padding between you and the bike.

I had numbness by mile 30 which is still a problem today, and I normally don't have numbness issues at all with the original PI elite gel-vents.

Very, very disappointed. Am planning to look at Specialized BG Pro (not the gel version) as my husband lent me his when these were such duds and his gloves were great.

Fits Like a Glove

(Comfort-oriented, Practical, Quality first, Stylish) January 20, 2014

A very good fitting and stylish cycling glove with various colours to match your other cycling gear. The gel sections seem adequate enough without being too bulky. My one gripe is that there is only one pull off tab on the ring finger which doesn't make pulling the glove off any easier; for the price I expected the usual 2 pull-offs placed between the fingers which is a much better system.

Pros
  • Good Fit
  • Good Grip
  • Stylish
Cons
  • Only One Pull Off Loop
Uses
  • Cycling
  • Sizing: Feels true to size
  • Gear Usage: Dry Weather Cycling

Most comfortable gloves I own!

(Comfort-oriented) September 26, 2013

I have three pairs of gloves that I alternate, since of course they have to match my clothing, but these are the absolute best! The gel padding falls in the exact spot to help with pressure points on my palms. I'll need to get them in black so they'll go with everything.

Pros
  • Dry
  • Excellent padding
  • Good Grip
Cons
Uses
  • Every day use
  • Sizing: Feels true to size

OK for a lightly-padded glove

(High-end shopper, Comfort-oriented, Practical) May 20, 2013

I wouldn't have bought these if I hadn't submitted to my first thought of, "Oh my god, purple gloves that'll match my bike. Must have. Now!"

The product images clearly show small areas of gel padding while I like lots of gel padding, especially where the fingers meet the hands and the webbing between my thumb and index finger. We were destined to not get along.

I've already used them so I'll keep them for the indoor trainer. On the plus side, they fit beautifully and are nicely styled so consider them if you don't mind the light padding.

  • Lightweight
