Edna says: Last year, I chose the Pearl Izumi Select Tri Suit to wear for my annual Sprint Triathlon. It provided both comfort and good looks. I loved that the included bra was separate, not attached. This made getting in and out of the trisuit much easier for me. I have broad shoulders and find I have trouble if I need to step into and through the bra when putting on a trisuit with an attached bra (if it has no front zipper). This was so comfy to swim, bike and run in; no pulling at the shoulders or feeling of drag anywhere, no seams rubbing, nothing too tight, nothing too loose. The fabric dried quickly during the bike portion even under my raincoat (the temps were mid 40's and raining). The quick-dry chamois was just that, so it never crossed my mind during the event. The trisuit had just the right amount of stretch for comfort but also compression for muscle support, especially during the run. For me this was the perfect suit - I put it on and never thought about it again until I took it off.

Women's Select Tri Suit by Pearl Izumi

    (Intermediate) October 28, 2012

I purchased this Tri Suit for the 2012 SLO Triathlon. Let me tell you. Comfortable! From start to finish. This suit did its job. For swimming - no drag, super comfortable. For Transition - pad dry, throw on my shoes, and go. No wasted time putting on a top and shorts. Cycling - no air drag like a pair of shorts would have done. The suit dried off so quickly. Running - I was dried and readdy to run. I didn't feel weighed down with my own extra clothing. The liteness of the suit made the run feel almost effortless. I've got to mention, the bra that came with the suit provided excellent support while running and finishing so I didn't have to cross the finish line bouncing all around. The only limitations in my run was the shortness of my legs, not this wonderful suit. After the race I took a quick shower just to wash off the sweat, fixed my hair then my husband and I went out to cheer on the remaining athletes who were still competing. I felt so comfortable and stylish. I walked around in my tri suit all afternoon. My finish time was 2:22:01. Down almost half an hour from the last time I competed 3 years ago with a finish time of 2:50:22 Thank you Lord for a blessed day. I strongly advise getting yourself one of these great suits and taking off some time. Off your finish time that is.

Hated to Take It Off! Really!

    (Beginner) June 26, 2012

Arrived week before SIS Women's TRYathlon and I saved it for the event. I wore it from 6 am through the event closing and forgot I still had it on until during the ride home! VERY comfortable and stylish yet modest (no bare midriffs for me!) and I love that the legs come nearly to my knees as I sunburn easily. This was a gift to myself as I had been wearing bike knickers (below the knees to avoid burning) with sports bra and wicking top for first 7 triathlons - unwieldy for the swim and retained water more than I liked - this is PERFECT!

Service comments: The only way this could be improved would be if the zipper was a few inches longer (for us 'hippier' ladies)! However, I checked with several ladies who had tri-suits from other sources and they all wished their zippers were a bit longer as well. Thanks for a great tri-suit - TEAM ESTROGEN is my #1 go-to resource!

    Didn't last 20 miles on a bike!

    (Beginner) May 21, 2012

I was so excited when I got this suit and it fit perfectly well. It was extremely comfortable. I was excited to wear it for my first sprint triathlon recently. However, I wore the suit for one training session, and at the time of my triathlon 2 weeks later, I discovered holes that had been worn in the material from the bike seat. I understand that this would be wear and tear over time, but I assume that the suit should last more than ONE training session.
