The Louis Garneau Multi Surface Cycling shoe is a perennial favorite for use in Spin ® classes. See our Indoor Cycling Shoe Specialty Shop for more choices in shoes appropriate for Spinning ®.

Wear these to, at, and home from the gym—even if you get there by bike! The sole can hide SPD cleats, eliminating those uncertain moments walking in cycling shoes. A mountain bike shoe can do that too, but can you skip rope or look this cute in a mountain bike shoe? The 2-in-1 top strap combines the security with ease, and the synthetic leather resists scuffs and marks. The perfect do-it-all shoe for a do-it-all woman

FIT NOTE: Customer feedback indicates that this shoe is running a bit small. Please check the sizing chart;   if you are between sizes or if you prefer a roomier fit, you might consider ordering the larger size.

Nice shoe.

(Casual/ Recreational) October 28, 2012

I wear size 9 in street shoes and 10 in running shoes. I ordered the 42 in this shoe and it is perfect. I am a true B width and the shoe fits nicely width wise with a thin to med sock. Would not want to walk very far in this shoe though.

Pros
  • Good quality
  • Durable Sole
Cons
  • Hard to Walk In

shoe looks good but!!

(Competitive Cyclist) October 17, 2012

I loved the style of this cycling shoe. I felt though it was a little to wide in fitting, and i have narrow foot, when i tried them in my cycling class, i just felt that my shoes were to unstable to cycle with.

Pros
  • Well Ventilated
Cons
Uses
  • Everyday riding
  • Width: Feels too wide
  • Sizing: Feels half size too big

Very nice shoe

(Avid Cyclist) October 13, 2012

These shoes are perfect for me. I still like to use the pedals and the soles of the shoes do not slip off the pedals and give me that extra power I needed behind each stroke. If you are still wearing tennis shoes, give these a try!

Pros
  • Durable Sole
  • Simple to Use
  • Good for Walking
  • Good Traction
  • Well Ventilated
Cons

  • Everyday riding

Great shoes!

(Casual/ Recreational) August 13, 2012

These shoes are great! I was looking for stiff comfortable shoes to ride in and also comfortable to walk in. These fit the bill! I have only been riding for a year and am not yet brave enough to clip in, but these work great with the straps on my pedals. They are stiff enough with enough traction not to slip around, yet comfortable to walk in. True to size...I wear a 8.5 running shoe and ordered the equivilant and they fit perfectly!!

Pros
  • Simple to Use
  • Good Traction
  • Good for Walking
  • Well Ventilated
Cons
Uses
  • Long-distance riding
  • Width: Feels true to width
  • Sizing: Feels true to size

too small for 12W foot; toe box is small

(Avid Cyclist) August 13, 2012

These are not built like shimano or boatranger shoes.

Pros
  • Simple to Use
Cons
  • Flimsy insert
Uses
  • Everyday riding
  • Sizing: Feels full size too small
  • Width: Feels too narrow

Great shoe!

(Casual/ Recreational) June 19, 2012

Great shoe. Because I wear an 8 1/2 or 9 in shoes I ordered sz 41, but they feel a little too loose. Next time I will order a sz 40.

I love the roomy toe box, the nice wide closure, the way they look and feel. I wouldn't wear them for a long walk/hike, but they are fine for short stops off the bike. With metal cleats attached, they are a bit noisy.

Pros
  • Durable Sole
  • Well Ventilated
Cons
Uses
  • Everyday riding
  • Long-distance riding

Best shoes!

(Avid Cyclist) April 1, 2012

I preface this by saying I hate cycling shoes. I had never been able to find a pair that didn't hurt my feet or make my feet fall asleep. Last summer I went on a 3 month cycling trip across the US and knew I needed a new pair of shoes. I tried these at my local bike shop and decided to give them a try. THEY ARE AMAZING! My feet couldn't have been happier. And they lasted the whole 4,250 miles without a stitch. I don't think I'll ever buy cycling shoes other than these again :)

Pros
  • Durable Sole
  • Well Ventilated
Cons
Uses
  • Long-distance riding
  • Everyday riding
  • Commuter shoes

can't cycles without them!

(Casual/ Recreational) January 20, 2012

Recieved these shoes for christmas and love them! my only complaint would be that they don't come with the cleats and we didn't realize it til after and had to pay extra (they were [$] at the local store) for them. It would have been nice for a reminder that they should be ordered together!

Great shoe for commuting and recreation

(Avid Cyclist) October 13, 2011

I commute a LOT in all sorts of weather conditions year-round and also ride recreationally, so I've ironically tried these shoes out in all kinds of situations except for mountain biking. I got them because they seemed good for commuting where I may have to park the bike elsewhere and have to walk a few blocks, and also have more traction than your standard road shoe, without the clunky look of mountain biking shoes. Though they technically use SPD or mountain clips and pedals, I love them for the road. In winter, I wore wool socks and good booties and I was fairly warm and dry as well (more than I'd expected). In summer they had plenty of ventilation. First and foremost they are utilitarian, and for the price, are excellent and run the gamut in their variety of uses.

Pros
  • Durable Sole
  • Good for Walking
Cons
Uses
  • Everyday riding
  • Commuter shoes
  • Long-distance riding

Good multi-purpose shoe

(Casual/ Recreational) April 27, 2011

I am a beginning rider that just completed a bike tour in Europe. This combined riding with walking tours and this shoe worked very well for both of those uses. The walking was on grass, pavement and cobblestones, and was comfortable all day. They are a bit stiffer than a sneaker, but really helped with the riding. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they fit, too, and the straps adjust well. I am a standard 8 1/2. I would higly recommend.

  • Comfortable
  • Good for Walking

  • Good Traction
