More stylish than functional

(Casual/ Recreational) July 26, 2013

This skort looks amazing. No one would know you have spinning shorts under it. Problems arise when you need to use the restroom because the fit is so tight. Getting it on and off is a real challenge. It feels great when spinning though!
I guess I'd encourage the manufacturer to ease up on the super snug nature of the under-short, and keep the skort design as is. A little more give and this product would be a perfect 10!

Pros
  • Durable
  • Looks great
  • Good Padding
Cons
Uses
  • Busy Day Spinning Class
  • Waist: Feels too small
  • Length: Feels true to length

Great Skort

(Casual/ Recreational) June 3, 2013

I was looking for something to wear when we ride around town. The shorts you wear under are padded but if we stop for lunch or at the market I am not wandering around in padded bike shorts but a cute, casual skirt.

Pros
  • Good Fit
  • Breathable
  • Comfortable
  • Durable
Cons

not for cycling

(Avid Cyclist) December 18, 2012

this skort is a very poor design I could not possibly wear it to go cycling in. the cross over disign doesn't work for cycling unless you want to bear all. The under liners are ok padding ok for short rides only. I use the liners but the skirt is useless it is extremely uncomfortalbe with a big bulky buckle what a waste of money

Looks great before, during and after

(Casual/ Recreational) September 7, 2012

I wore it for the first time on a 20 mile river greenway bike road. Met friends for breakfast before hand and ice cream afterwards. The skort looked and felt comfortable all day. It is actually a separate wrap-around skirt and bike shorts. The shorts are too thin to wear on their own, but with the skirt are fine. I am looking forward to wrap the skirt around capris and leggings as the weather turns cool. The only reason I didn't give it a 5: I wish the skirt had slightly more overlap in the wrap around, when riding the bike it falls open on the left leg (but still has coverage of all important parts).

Pros
  • Dries Quickly
  • Breathable
  • Comfortable
Cons
Uses
  • Recreational biking
  • Waist: Feels true to size

Looks good on

(Avid Cyclist) August 28, 2012

Only worn once - its winter here at the moment. But on trying the pants and overskirt they look great. You could wear the skirt over 3/4 pants for a change. Will be good for hot weather touring and skirt is a nice touch for coffee stops.

Love this look!

(Casual/ Recreational) August 16, 2012

My husband and I rode our bikes around Virginia Beach and I looked so cute in my skirt. I am a medium size but I purchased the large size thinking I would be more comfortable. I thought that I could adjust the waist enough to fit but the skirt is true to size. A medium would have been the better fit especially at my waist. The liner shorts are transparent but can be worn under other skirts and wraps. I tried but could not attach photos of me in my skirt. Maybe next time.

Service comments: Perfect timing, we were packing for our vacation and it actually arrived two days before I expected it - in perfect condition - ready for our bike ride.

Perfect for a day out.

(Casual/ Recreational) July 14, 2012

I wore this skort on vacation where we biked a lot, but also stopped to eat and shop. The skort was long enough to feel comfortable walking around in it, and the little pocket was perfect for storing my phone and some cash. The padded short underneath felt great.

Very nice

(Casual/ Recreational) October 9, 2011

Delivery was really quick, I didn't think I would get it till Monday, shipping was fast and customer service was great. This skort is nice, I thought the fabric would be a little thicker, it's kind of thin. Other than that I love it, it is now one of my favorites. Padding is good for me and the fit is really great. I was worried I still might be a little big in the hip and butt area ( I got mugged by the butt fairy ).

It looks great off the bike as well so you can go into a store without feeling silly. I love this skort.

Look classy on your cafe ride

(Casual/ Recreational) October 8, 2011

Awesome little number. Bike shorts aren't designed for long rides due to padding and can't be worn without something over them due to the material.
Skort is a great little number to make your friends beg you where you got it from!

  • Look good

(Casual/ Recreational) September 13, 2011

I love this skirt. You don't even realize you are wearing a skirt. I have worn them mountain biking and road biking and they worked great for both. Way more flattering than shorts. I love the side pocket too. Nice and cool for warmer weather riding.

Not really a skort

(Avid Cyclist) September 2, 2011

This product is a 2-piece. The bike shorts are nice, material seems really comfy. My chief complaint was the padding. The chamois is really wide like the padding in the mens cycling shorts and, for a girl, the chamois was lumpy in all the wrong places and quite uncomfortable. The skirt is the 2nd piece and it is attached by a loop and snap on the right and left hip side. The skirt is made of nice material and the print is pretty, but the skirt is really long, falling just above my knees. I didnt think it was attractice at all and thought that together the shorts and skirt were bulky looking.

Pros
Cons
  • More like mens padding
  • Too Much Padding
Uses
  • Waist: Feels true to size
  • Length: Feels too long

Beautiful and functional

(Casual/ Recreational) August 30, 2011

If you are looking for functional and beautiful skirt for a short ride, this is for you. But if you are a serious rider who ually rides on long trips, then this may not be for you.

Pros
  • Breathable
  • Comfortable
  • Good Fit
Cons
  • Not Enough Padding

  • Commuting
  • Waist: Feels true to size
  • Length: Feels too short

Love it!

(Casual/ Recreational) August 23, 2011

I am uncomfortable with the look of the body-hugging shorts so the wrap around skirt that is separate from the shorts is a perfect solution. I can walk at the farmers market without feeling self-conscious and then ride for an hour in comfort. The skirt is stylish and playful, covering any real or imagined fat bumps :)

Pros
  • Good Fit
  • Comfortable
  • Good Padding
Cons
Uses
  • Long Rides

I would definately buy this again

(Casual/ Recreational) July 5, 2011

I am 5'4, 126 lb 27 waist, 37 hips. I ordered a Medium and love the fit. There is a lot of give allowed with velcro at the waistline. The skort falls below the waistline so you don't feel it when bent forward. The shorts are a good length under the skort and you don't see them when standing. When I first tried the shorts I was worried re chafing as the edges of the padding feel rough when dressing but I wasn't aware of that once they were "wiggled" into place.

Pros

(Avid Cyclist) June 29, 2011

Cute skirt, feels comfortable on a bike and at the sports bar after. Be aware you will be showing a lot of leg while riding. My rides are usually around 10 miles, but it was just as comfortable for 25 miles.

Pros

Great design!

(Avid Cyclist) June 24, 2011

Its my first Louis Garneau item. I use it for casual rides and feels-looks cool, a little bit tight (the inner short) but still comfortable. If you are betweem sizes I shoud recommend you to choose the higher one. Great padding and lovely design, completely washable and fast drying. I'm satisfied with what I got!

Pros
  • Good Pockets

  • Dries Quickly
  • Breathable
  • Good Padding
Cons
  • Inner short too tight

I love it!

(Casual/ Recreational) June 6, 2011

Sometimes, when you're just riding around town and actually have to spend time off the bike, this is a great little cover up. It's also just short enough that the skirt doesn't get in your way when you're on the bike. The shorts are liner shorts and so they are more transparent than regular bike shorts so I definitely don't feel comfortable wearing them on their own, without the skirt.

Pros
  • Durable
  • Good Padding
  • Comfortable
  • Good Fit
  • Dries Quickly
Cons
Uses
  • Warm Weather
  • Commuting
  • Waist: Feels true to size

Too Big

(Casual/ Recreational) May 4, 2011

Love the idea, good length, covers your bottom, unfortunately waist measurements seem way out!
(the 33" inch waist would fit someone with a 40" waist!)
I will need to add new velcro to make it fit. The positive is that with new velcro it can be made to fit!

Pros
  • Velcro buckle adjust
  • Good Pockets
  • Adjustable
  • Dries Quickly
Cons
  • Poor Fit
  • Velcro wrongly place
Uses
  • Commuting
  • Coffee shop run
  • Road Biking
  • Warm Weather
  • Waist: Feels too big
