Perfect Triathlon shorts!

(Avid Cyclist) September 21, 2014

Since I found these I have never worn anything else in triathlons, they are perfect. If you aren't sure about compression buy one size up, I find the large perfect and never wear large.

Pros
  • Breathable
  • Comfortable
  • Dries Quickly
  • Durable
  • Good Fit
  • Good Padding
Cons
Uses
  • Road Biking
  • Waist: Feels true to size

Returning these, too thin

(Avid Cyclist) September 14, 2014

I am going to return these. Thought fabric was way too thin and just did not hold shape so you get the old "sausage leg" My favorite road shorts are Garneau, I usually really like this brand!

Pros
Cons
  • Fabric too thin
  • Not flattering
  • Poor Fit
Uses
  • Warm Weather

Look good but fit not great

(Avid Cyclist) December 4, 2011

I had to exchange a large for a medium due to the poor fitting waist. Like many mums, I have a bit of extra belly padding and these shorts roll down constantly and are uncomfortable when I run. I don't use them anymore. They are also a tight fit around the upper leg seam and I don't have big legs. Waist fitting needs attention.

Pros
  • Durable
Cons
  • Not Enough Padding
  • Poor Fit
Uses
  • Commuting
  • Waist: Feels too big
  • Length: Feels true to length

ok, but not recommended

(Avid Cyclist) June 23, 2011

I bought these for triathlons and am happy with the material and padding. Unfortunately the fit is terrible around the waist and back end. For me, a mom with few curves and a bit of belly padding, the waist rolls down and if given the chance would roll right off! I'm fit, but the rolling is so uncomfortable and makes me self-conscience enough that I do not wear the shorts anymore. Sorry Garneau, I can't recommend these.

Pros
  • Breathable
  • Dries Quickly
  • Good Padding
Cons
  • Inadequate Pockets
  • Poor Fit
  • Rolls down at waist
Uses
  • Road Biking
  • Warm Weather
  • Length: Feels true to length

Great material

(Avid Cyclist) April 10, 2011

I participate in triathlons and use these shorts for training, racing, running. They are made of incredibly comfortable material. The only thing is that the waist is a little big. They do not fall down, but I can feel a little gap.

Pros
  • Breathable
  • Comfortable
  • Dries Quickly
Cons
  • Waist a bit big
  • Would prefer more pockets
Uses
  • Long Rides
  • Road Biking
  • Warm Weather
  • Wet Weather
  • Waist: Feels too big
  • Length: Feels true to length
