Good on long rides

(Competitive Athlete) October 22, 2014

I have worn these for 40 plus mile rides and love them. The length is just right - and they do not ride up or shift. The chamois was very comfortable and kept me cool! Temps here are often in the 90's and top over 100 by the afternoon. I plan to order more LG shorts:)

Great shorts!

(Gym Rat) October 2, 2013

I've had 2 pairs of these shorts in the longer length. They were at the end of their life and I came to Team Estrogen to get some more. I was so excited to find them in the shorter length! Awesome.

The best shorts ever!

(Avid Athlete) August 29, 2013

Since I started buying cycling shorts, I had always purchased Pearl Izumi. This summer when I had to replace a pair, I logically researched their offer. I was put off by the current styling and pricing. When I saw the Louis Garneau with flatlock seams (which I love) at a better pricing than a "comparable" Pearl Izumi, I ordered one pair to try them out. And what a surprise! They are incredibly comfortable. The best chamois ever! Now each time I go cycling, I just want to wear the Louis Garneau.

I did follow the advice of ordering one size up, and they fit very well. Can't wait to buy a second pair!

same great fit, shorter length

(Avid Athlete) June 25, 2013

I own 4 pairs of the original and now 2 pairs of the shorter short. It's the best I've found for comfort and padding (enough without being too much.) I took the longer version on a bike tour of Utah last summer and they kept me comfy for 7 days and 380 miles of riding. They do tend to run small so I always order a size up.

Service comments: Awesome service and delivery as always...free shipping, told to expect 10 days and it was there in 2...from the opposite coast!

Great Short!

(Avid Athlete) June 19, 2013

Having tried several different brands of shorts, and always sticking with SheeBeast because I could never find another that was as good, I FINALLY have found another good brand! Love the waistband & chamois of this short. Other reviews said the short ran small, so I ordered up one size, but ended up exchanging for my regular size. 5'7" tall, 140 lbs, size M is perfect.

Hands down best short I have ever worn

(Competitive Athlete) June 17, 2013

I will start by saying I am NOT normally someone who wears bike shorts....up until this pair I wore only bibs. I recently stopped racing for a team and found myself trying these shorts - I was pleasantly surprised. The fit is phenomenal - they do not bite into your thighs at the edge and provide excellent support and comfort. They do "squeak" a little - but that is a minor complaint. I feel they fit true to size and are not too short on me and I am 5' 9" I have worn them on rides over 5 hrs long with no issues.

Top Notch

(Avid Athlete) June 11, 2013

I'm not sure I can love a pair of cycling shorts more. Soft, comfortable, no silicone leg grippers. Flattering. Keep in mind these are compression shorts and there isn't any vanity sizing - I am between sizes on the chart so I ordered up a size to ensure comfort and I don't regret it. These shorts are what I plan to use for any ride over 50 miles.

Good Chamois

(Competitive Athlete) November 14, 2012

I really like the Chamois. I'm glad others mentioned the sizing...I went up a size and I'm glad I did.
I would like better compression support in the inner thighs. Since I'm not the skinny bird leg type, the shorts create a bit of the sausage effect; but i'm ok with that since they are so comfortable and no chafing or saddle sores.

Service comments: prompt delivery.

(Avid Athlete) September 17, 2012

These cycling shorts are great! They are the perfect balance between snug and forgiving. The waist does not constrict. The chamois works best for up to 40mi. They do run small so make sure to go up one size.

Awesome short!

(Avid Athlete) August 4, 2012

I usually buy inexpensive or sale cycling shorts. A friend who works at a cycling shop suggested buying high end shorts, I did and I love these shorts! I can justify the expense by not having to use chamois cream. I made it throuh a week long touring ride without a sore rear end and without slathering on chamois cream.

Say goodbye to tired legs

(Avid Athlete) July 23, 2012

I am always in search of the perfect cycling shorts and I think I have just about tried all brands. These shorts are compression shorts and at first that was a weird feel for me but after a 65 mile ride my legs still felt great.Padding was just enough sometimes less is more and this is the case with these shorts. I did find them to be on the small size but I am slightly curvy and I think these are better suited for the straight body type. I got a Medium and i am 5 feet 118 lbs and Med usually is my size. I think I could have gotten a large in these and been fine as well. I have to say I really like these alot and go to them for all my long rides.

Great Bike Shorts

(Competitive Athlete) July 5, 2012

I recently got back into biking and bought these shorts to train for a triathlon. I am very happy with them. The pad is super comfortable for longer rides, but doesn't feel like a diaper. I feel the shorts are true to size, however, they are quite compressive. I really like that, but it's a consideration if you do not like the feel of compression shorts.

Order Your Size

(Avid Athlete) May 11, 2012

I ride several times during the week with a least one ride of forty+ miles over the weekend. I have no complaints about the padding in these. The fit is absolutely true to size. Do not order a size up. I have an older pair of LG shorts in a medium that gap slightly in the thighs so I ordered the small...I almost ordered another medium based on the reviews but am glad that I didn't. I am 5'6'' and weigh 123. I wish the shorts were in the 8 and 8 1/2 in range rather than 7. I think the longer version would be too long and too hot. These are great shorts, but not my favorite pair because of the length.

Riding a century? These are a must

(Avid Athlete) April 29, 2012

Great Short! I was taking a gamble riding a century with having only worn these shorts once before. But they were probably the best short I have ever owned. Very comfortable. Based on previous reviews I did order a medium which is size larger than my usual small. These cycling shorts are well worth the extra $$. I would definitely recommend this short to any women that is going to spend some time in the saddle.

Very nice waistband

(Avid Athlete) April 27, 2012

These are nice shorts - I love the waistband - very comfortable. I'm short-torsoed so the rise is a bit higher than I usually like, but because the waistband is so nice, it's fine. Also the seams pucker a little bit while just standing even though I bought the recommended size, but once I'm on the bike, they will smooth out...I hope. Looking forward to giving them a spin.

Best. Shorts. Ever!

(Avid Athlete) April 10, 2012

I didn't notice at first that on the item it suggests ordering up one size. I usually wear a small, and had to return for a medium. This is because they are compression material. Once I got the right size, I immediately ordered a second pair in another color, too! Love them!

Sausage Legs for Curvy Women

(Avid Athlete) March 24, 2012

First let me say that these shorts are very well made with an excellent, (but wide), chamois. Unfortunately, they make horrendous sausages out of my curvy thighs. Also, the lack of leg grippers allows these shorts to creep up about 3" my legs while riding.

If you're debating on these shorts, I can tell you that you'll probably like them if you can wear skinny jeans. You probably won't like them if you delight in pant descriptions that say "roomier fit through hips and thighs". However, if you're curvy like me, you may be able to get away with the longer version of these shorts as long as you don't mind tan lines just above your knees.

Another problem that I had with these shorts is that the chamois felt wide through the crotch. The edge of the chamios rubbed and pressed uncomfortably where my leg meets my body. I let my leaner friend try these and she said that the chamois was wide enough that it was folding and creating a bit of a crease down the middle that worked its way into places where no fabric belongs. Both my friend and I are very petite so it could be that we're just too narrow in the crotch for this style chamois. Otherwise the padding is a perfect thickness and density.

I checked that I would recommend these to a friend because I suspect that these are great shorts for some women...just not for me. I would recommend these to a friend only if she had smaller thighs than mine.

For me, I'm going back to my Terry Bella shorts. They seem to offer a more flattering fit on curves, the leg grippers keep them in place, and the chamois is narrow enough that it doesn't cause problems for petite women.

Best shorts I've had

(Avid Athlete) February 4, 2012

Almost didn't order these cuz I didn't want to spend this much, but so glad I did. Super comfortable, excellent compression, very stylish. The shape of the panels and top stitching make these the most perfect fitting short I've ever owned. Length is ideal for me, so many shorts look and feel just a bit too long but these are perfect. I often wear XS in other brands, but ordered a S due to reviewers of the longer version Neo Power shorts and glad I did. For sizing reference, I'm 5'5" and 110 lbs. and the SM feels great. Definitely worth the $ so don't hesitate.
