A classic from Louis Garneau, the Deville Fit short features one of the most comfortable chamois pads out there. The Tri Air chamois is a favorite for being able to cushion triathletes for those 100 mile races, staying cool, dry, and soft. But the length makes it great for any ride, be it on a road or trail. Eight panels of stretchy goodness with no seams inside the legs translates to chafe-free comfort all day, no matter how hard you ride.

Finally found

(Avid Cyclist) December 28, 2012

I'd been looking to replace shorts that pretty much fit just right without too much padding that can be cumbersome. Not an easy task. These fit the bill. I'd say they were perfect except for a tendency for the waist to gap and roll sometimes. However, the overall fit is great, love the material, length and padding is exactly what I wanted for comfort, flexibility and minimal bulk.

  • Comfortable
  • Breathable
  • Dries Quickly
  • Good Fit

Most Fabulous Tri shorts I own

(Avid Cyclist) March 18, 2012

I own many different brands of shorts. This is the first pair of Louis Garneau I have bought. These shorts are the most comfortable shorts I have ever worn. The material is amazing!! The legs are not tight like Pearl Izumi shorts. The price is great as well! I am a triathlete but also ride long distance rides. These shorts can be worn for both. I am 5'4" and 110 and the small fits perfect!

Pros
  • Good Fit
  • Good Padding
  • Durable

Most worn shorts in the drawer

(Avid Cyclist) June 22, 2011

I really like these shorts. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the chamois being that this is technically a tri short and I'm only a cyclist. However, this thin chamois really works for me. I have the least amount of chaffing and irritation when I wear these shorts on my longest rides. Compared to other brands, this short's chamois is about 1/4 the thickness of the Pearl Izumi shorts and slightly less thick than SheBeest shorts. Feels very durable and extremely comfortable. Another plus is no stupid grippers in the legs. Definitely want to get another pair someday.

Excellent long distance tri short

(Competitive Cyclist) June 7, 2011

These are great shorts for triathlons. I've used them in Ironman distance and, though the pad is fairly small, it's plenty. Regular tri shorts just aren't comfortable for that distance -- and a regular bike short is way too much padding for me. Fit is a bit large -- not too much -- but I'd order XS if it was available.

Pros
  • Dries Quickly
  • Breathable
  • Good Padding
  • Comfortable
Cons
Uses

Great comfort and fit!

(Competitive Cyclist) March 1, 2011

Love these shorts. Big on comfort with just enough padding to be effective but not give you that feeling of wearing a diaper. I love the fabric as well. Dries quickly. They also improved the leg stitching to avoid that "sausage" look.

  • Dries Quickly
  • Good Fit

  • Durable
Cons
