Not enough padding...

(Avid Cyclist) July 22, 2012

I like the length, however they do not work well for rides over 30 miles. Not enough padding for my comfort.

Pros
Cons
  • Not Enough Padding
Uses
  • Warm Weather
  • Short Rides
  • Waist: Feels true to size
  • Length: Feels true to length

Looks great on!

(Avid Cyclist) December 12, 2011

This short looks fantastic on! The feel is very soft and comfortable. Seems to be durable, and retains its shape after washings.
The piping illuminates nicely as I ride in the dark. On short (up to 60K) humid rides this short is okay. However,on a long hot,(160K) humid ride its chafes something terrible. First time for me to have a chafing problem with cycling shorts.

Pros
  • Breathable
  • Good Fit
Cons
  • Chafes
Uses
  • Short rides only
  • Waist: Feels true to size
  • Length: Feels true to length

Great fit & comfort too

(Avid Cyclist) August 9, 2011

It appears that women are complaining about the "big pad" chamois, so some bike short makers have stopped running the chamois down the leg. I think this causes chafing inside the leg no matter how comfortable the shorts are. It's hard this year to find a comfortable chamois, but this is as good as it gets. I've tried several.

Pros
  • Durable
  • Dries Quickly
  • Comfortable
  • Good Padding
  • Good Fit
  • Breathable
Cons
  • Chafes
Uses
  • Long Rides
  • Waist: Feels true to size

Didn't work for me

(Avid Cyclist) July 14, 2011

Wow, these just didn't work for me. I felt like I was wearing a high waisted diaper. The material is nice, like the length and I really like the waist. I'm short-waisted so that may be the problem, so these may be better for those with a fairly long torso. And the padding seemed diaper-like.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Too Much Padding
Uses
  • Waist: Feels true to size
  • Length: Feels true to length

My favorite shorts

(Avid Cyclist) May 12, 2011

Love, love, love these shorts! So comfortable and breathable. Chamois is heavily padded in back are, but a bit lighter in the front so it doesn't bunch up. Perfect for long rides.
I personally do not like shorts that ride up high on my waist, but these have a wide waist band that folds down nicely if you prefer a low waist style.
No sausage thigh!! Fabric is a sort of waffle weave that moves with you. I will be throwing out all of my other shorts and buying a drawer full of these!! Worth every penny.

Pros
  • Good Padding
  • Breathable
  • Comfortable
Cons
Uses
  • Road Biking
  • Long Rides
  • Waist: Feels true to size

THE BEST SHORTS EVER!

(Avid Cyclist) March 27, 2011

Was having problems with chamois issues...most comfortable shorts. I have large quads/thighs and they fit perfect! Very true to size and accommodating for small waist/larger thigh women. Worth every penny!

  • Good Fit
  • Breathable
Cons
  • a little short

Great shorts!

(Avid Cyclist) February 18, 2011

I'm a big girl who puts in a lot of miles. It's amazing how a good pair of shorts can make the difference between a miserable hill climb or century and one that you recover from quickly. The fabric bands in place of grippers make a huge benefit on long/hard rides. The chamois is comfy and the material soft and breathable. I like the reflective strips, although they haven't worn well through all the washings. Still, these are one pair of shorts I will reach for first out of my closet.

Pros
  • Dries Quickly
  • Breathable
  • Good Padding
  • Good Fit

Thighs too tight.

(Avid Cyclist) July 28, 2010

Beautiful, perfect fit throughout the shorts, except for the THIGHS. I roll up my gripper shorts, so thought these shorter shorts would be perfect for me. But the wide thigh band is too tight and irritating. What a disappointment because the high performance fabric, rest of the fit, and reflective elements are great. In addition, chamois felt too wide.

Pros
  • Breathable
  • Good Fit
Cons
  • Too Much Padding
Uses
  • Road Biking
  • Warm Weather
  • Waist: Feels true to size
  • Length: Feels too short

Love these shorts!

(Competitive Cyclist) June 10, 2010

Love these shorts. A little bit shorter, but not too short. I hate those really short shorts where your inner thigh can rub the seat. These do not do that. The waistband and leg bands are wide and comfortable. The padding is good. The white reflectors are at good locations so your butt doesn't like like a big black blob. Very comfortable and flattering.
