cool reflective tape

(Avid Cyclist) December 9, 2009

easy to use. tape can be cut to desired length.

i put this on my black mud guards. it takes the shape of the curved mud guard very well - that means with no puckering.
the reflective tape is matt finish so it looks subtle in daytime, and at night it serves the purpose of being highly reflective.

i have got great comments from other coummuters and made myself visible to motorists.

this is life saving, especially when your battery on your tail light runs out !

after a long web serach was able to find this on Team Estrogen - great web site.

Running with scissors

(Avid Cyclist) June 25, 2009

Running with scissors isn't safe and neither is riding at night or at dusk/dawn without reflectivity. However, you can use those scissors to cut this tape to length or into various shapes to adorn your bike and your helmet.

I cut patches of this material to fit onto the various wedges on the back of my helmet and I also have a strip on the back of my seatpost on all my bikes. On my "rain bike" that I use for commuting I also put strips onto the forks and crank arms.

The adhesive holds up well on solid, non-stretchy surfaces. For clothing or flexible materials, I'd recommend using a different product like Lightweights Power Reflectors for Clothing.
