Great arm warmers!

(Avid Cyclist) February 8, 2015

These are wonderful arm warmers! They fit well and the fabric is just the right weight, they stay up, they are soft and warm and you can wear them a lot without having to wash them, even if you sweat a lot! It's also worth mentioning that I'm a huge merino wool fan and I have tried a lot of other arm warmers, including virtually every kind available made of merino wool. The smart wool arm warmers run ridiculously small (the L/XL appears to be made for a child!) and they do NOT stay up as claimed and tend to roll down on you. The regular Ibex arm warmers are good but for me they are too heavy, if it's cold enough to need quarter-inch thick wool arm warmers I am going to wear a jacket anyway, and they are not as soft as the ones by Icebreaker. I also have the Ibex Indie arm warmers (not sold on this site) and they are nice but very thin, which limits their usefulness. To me the Icebreaker are exactly the right weight, not too light and not too heavy. I like the silicone band at the top that keeps them up, and the elastic at the wrist helps them keep their shape and increases durability. They are sized for real people with more options than just "S/M' and "L/XL" so you can get the perfect fit. For reference, I do strength training and my bicep is 12" at the widest point and the medium fits me perfectly. My husband's bicep is 13.5" and the large fits him perfectly. I think for most women the small would work great, or if you have really skinny arms the extra small, and the XL would be great for a more muscular man. I think everyone should have these arm warmers, they are the best, and after getting these all my other arm warmers are second best. I wish the other companies put half as much effort into the design and fit of their products, then I wouldn't have a drawer full of arm warmers that I won't be using much anymore!

Perfect arm warmers for the chilly start

(Avid Cyclist) January 27, 2015

I have skinny arms and have problems with prior arm warmers falling down. Not fun when you are going downhill and unable to pull them up. These not only stayed on and hence provided needed warmth, they were very stylish on. In fact my husband also got a set when he noticed they were not girly. Very classic looking. Best fitting arm warmers I've ever owned and I have quite a few ;p
