Edna says: "I love my Ibex glove liners! The fabric is soft, smooth and warm. I wear them as driving gloves, every day gloves in cool weather, and of course, riding. They are thin enough to fit well under padded gloves, either short finger or long finger. Any rides that start out on a cool or cold morning, I'm wearing my Ibex glove liners. My hands tend to warm up quickly, so I usually take them off long before other people take their warm gloves off. At least a half-dozen times, I have loaned them to someone with cold fingers, and they have not wanted to give them back to me. I didn't tell them they were wool until they had been wearing them for awhile and told me how comfortable they were. Each time, within a few days, they bought their own pair. Try them, you'll like them :-) "

Second pair - love these

(Active Athlete, Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Practical, Stylish) November 21, 2014

This is my second pair as I lost the first pair which I had had for about 5 years. They do run large so you might want to size down (this is my only reason for 4 stars rather than 5). Excellent for running and also as a base layer glove. I think they are more attractive than other base layer gloves so I find myself wearing them frequently.

Pros
  • Lightweight
  • Stylish
  • Warm
  • Wicking
Cons
Uses
  • Cold Weather

  • Rainy Weather
  • Running

Great gloves!

(Comfort-oriented, Practical) November 21, 2014

These are lovely, lightweight gloves. Since they are men's sizing they are a wee bit big for me, but they are soft, warm, itch-free, and good looking. I wear them for autumn bike rides and walks, and they easily stuff into a pocket. They are nice enough looking that I would wear them to fancy venues on a cold winter evening, although being fairly thin they would not be good for snow sports. They are not waterproof, but I don't expect them to be, being a thin wool knit. The grip is a bit slippery for driving, but fine for bike riding.

Pros
  • Lightweight
  • Stylish
  • Warm
Cons
  • Not Waterproof
  • Poor Grip

Love These Gloves!

(Comfort-oriented, Practical) January 6, 2013

I purchased these gloves to wear primarily on their own and under short finger cycling gloves. They work like a charm. My hands stay pretty warm anyway so these gloves have helped me stay comfortable on the mtb down to mid 40's temperatures with some wind chill. I expect that I'll be able to wear them running in the 30's.

The fabric is very thin and stretchy. I have enough dexterity to easily operate zippers, small buckles, and bike controls. The fabric doesn't play nicely with iPhones, though. I've learned to answer phone calls by swiping the phone across my chin:-)

The thin fabric has a frustrating affinity for the velcro on my bike gloves. This could lead to premature wear. The gloves are so snuggly and versatile that I'll consider them a worthy investment as long as I can get at least one season out of them.

  • Soft
  • Warm
  • Lightweight

Nice glove liners

(Comfort-oriented, Practical) January 2, 2012

I got these gloves as an alternative to the bulky, stiff cold weather cycling gloves. I wear them under my regular cycling gloves and still have room for hand warmers and total dexterity. Not super warm but better than nothing. I found them to run a little bit big.

Great for cold mornings

(Practical, Comfort-oriented) November 29, 2011

I use these gloves under my fingerless gloves for added warmth in the cool weather season wehn I cycle. I bought them because they are wool and they work great. I don't expect them to keep the rain out but the work for dry weather.

IBEX GLOVE LINERS

(Comfort-oriented, Stylish, Practical) October 17, 2011

The Ibex glove liner is simply the best glove liner I have ever used. I have purchased them as gifts for my family and friends who are hikers and cyclists. They work extremely well in keeping your hands and fingers dry under wet and/or cool/cold conditions. I have used them under fingerless gloves and full fingered gloves. Find that even if you sweat or your hands get wet during a ride, they still perform wonderfully in keeping you hands and fingers comfortable. They are soft, light weight and hold up well in the washer if you wash them in cold water and air dry. I love them and so do my friends. They are simply the best!

Pros
  • Lightweight
  • Dry
  • Keeps hands warm when wet
  • Durable
  • Stylish
  • Perfect for cool weather
  • Moisture control
  • Fits easily under gloves

  • Not good as a outer glove

Good enough to buy again

(Practical, Comfort-oriented) September 25, 2010

I absolutely love these gloves but have gone through multiple pairs. They wear easily and did not last as long as I'd hoped. Despite this, I keep buying more because they fit so well, are warm, not at all bulky, and incredibly comfortable! They keep my hands warm while out and about in the fall and spring. I also wear them while running on warmer winter days (+20 to -10'ish - Fairbanks, AK). On the cold days, I can layer them with a pair of good mittens and am good to the coldest of temps!

Pros
  • Warm
  • Lightweight
  • Dry
Cons
  • Wears Out Quickly
