Edna says: "I have the wool sports bra in 3 colors, and it's my first choice when getting dressed for a bike ride. Even when I sweat - no more cold boobs! The bra may get damp, but it's never clammy, or smelly, or itchy. I wear these bras year round, not just in the winter."

my new favorite sports bra

(Comfort-oriented, Practical) May 7, 2014

Great for warm or cold activities. Never clammy or clingy. Own a small and medium. I prefer the softer fit of the medium. Most awesome piece of base wear. Nice enough to wear as outer wear.

  • Durable
  • Straps That Do Not Slide

Great Bra!

(Practical) April 4, 2014

I use this for all-weather cycling. I bicycle commute to work, and it does not smell for the ride home like my polypro clothes nor am I clammy in it if I have to stop in the cold during my ride. I am slowly converting my entire cycling wardrobe to merino wool. Great bra.

Pros
  • Breathable
  • Comfortable
  • Durable
  • Good Support
  • Odor-free
  • Straps That Do Not Slide
Cons
Uses
  • Low Impact Exercise

comfortable and easy to remove

(Practical, Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper) February 28, 2013

Not that supportive so I wear it for non-impact sports like yoga, weight lifting and cycling. I usually wear a size small in clothes, but size small was too small here. I ordered a medium, and my bra size is 34B or C.

Pros
  • Breathable
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Poor Support
Uses
  • Band Size: Feels too small
  • Cup Fit: Feels too small

I love this bra!

(Comfort-oriented, Practical) October 11, 2011

This is the best sports bra I have ever owned. I live in Dallas TX. This bra wicks better than any other specialty wicking fabric I've owned. I wore this bra through Dallas' record breaking heat wave this summer and never found it too hot. I use the bra mostly for cycling. This bra really shines in the winter, tho. Our group rides usually stop after 20-25 miles to refill water bottles, etc. In the past the shock of cold air on sweaty body was chill-inducing. with the merino wool, the "girls" don't even notice the damp. I wouldn't use this for sports in which I wanted some support, such as running. That's the only "downside."

Pros
  • REALLY Wicks
  • Durable
  • Comfortable
  • Straps That Do Not Slide
  • Breathable
Cons
  • Not very supportive
Uses
  • Low Impact Exercise
  • Cycling
  • Cup Fit: Feels true to size

Love this bra

(Practical) May 31, 2011

Already have 3, bought one more. The only downside is that if someone forgets and puts it in the dryer it will shrink, so be extra careful to not let that happen. I love wool sportbras, they have transformed me from being wet and cold at rest stops while cycling on those cool days when you're sweating, to much more comfortable now. I've told lots of women about these!

Pros
  • Wool
  • Straps That Do Not Slide
  • Comfortable
Cons
Uses
  • High Impact Exercise

I love these bras

(Comfort-oriented) May 7, 2011

I have this bra in many colors, and the off white just seems to feel a little smaller than the rest, although they seem to line up the same size. They are super easy to get off when wet, as opposed to all of the other jog bras I've owned. And despite being wool, they are not at all hot, but very comfortable.

Pros
  • Straps That Do Not Slide
  • Durable
  • Good Support
  • Comfortable
  • Breathable

So very comfy

(Stylish, Sexy, Comfort-oriented) April 27, 2011

What an excellent sports bra! It's super soft and comfortable, moisture-wicking (gets wet but not clammy), doesn't hold odors, never chafes, doesn't show through tops, is supportive enough for moderate-impact activities like cycling and the gym, washes well (I hand wash and hang dry), can be worn in cool/cold weather as well as warm weather, and is really durable and well-made. Well worth the money because you'll be able to get good, long use out of it...but be warned, once you have one, you'll probably want more than one color! I have the black, and the shell (which can be worn under anything light, even white, and doesn't show through) and in the Ibex Bralette I have the blue and the cocobolo and all the colors are beauteous. I find the Sport Bra to be a little more supportive than the Bralette so it's my go-to choice when exercising hard or needing a bit more coverage. For me, the fit on Ibex bras runs small: I normally wear a size M in sports bras (I'm a 36 B) but I need a L in these, and I am a petite person (size 4) who has never worn size L bra before. So you may want to size up; others seem to find this bra runs small too. Other than the fit issue, though, which was fine once I got the correct size, this bra is ace!

  • Durable
  • Straps That Do Not Slide
  • Good Support
  • Shapely
  • Comfortable
  • Breathable
Cons

Easy off

April 2, 2011

I'm pretty small so I don't really need much support, this bra is perfect for what I do for exercise, running. What I really love about this bra is that it is super easy to take off. Every other running bra I have had is a pain to get off. The other thing that I really love about it is that the edges are really smooth, so I have not had any trouble with chafe. I used to have to wear bras inside out for marathons so I wouldn't get chafe that would scab over (ouch). These are so smooth you can really wear them either way, and there is some cute saying written along the lower edge on the inside. They wash nicely, so far I've managed not to put them in the dryer, except one, and I can't tell the difference, it doesn't seem to have shrunk. The burgundy color did bleed onto my white shirt when I first wore it unwashed, but since then doesn't seem to do it. No problem with the blue. The wool does not seem hot, in fact the fabric is pretty light weight, and I'm thinking cooler than most running bras. It does get quite wet, however.

Pros
  • Durable
  • Easy off
  • Comfortable
  • Straps That Do Not Slide
  • Breathable
Cons

Almost perfect.

(Comfort-oriented, Practical) March 23, 2011

This bra is as great as the other reviewers have stated. I wear my bra year-round for cycling. I love this bra except for the fact that it fades every time I wash it. My black bra is still as black as the day I received it but a year later the water still turns black when I wash it. So, I wash it separately by hand. Has anyone else had this problem?

Pros
  • Straps That Do Not Slide
  • Durable
  • Breathable
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Fades when you wash it

Amazing bra

(Comfort-oriented) November 28, 2010

Hot yoga?? Who would wear a wool bra for hot yoga? But this bra is amazing! Unlike synthetics, this bra never feels wet, clammy or sticky. It dries super fast, even if I'm still wearing it. It's super-comfortable and layers great under shirts. Unlike synthetics, this bra does not retain odor. It's easy care and easy wash. As a B cupy I would not wear this for high impact sports, but for cycling and hot yoga it's perfect.

So comfortable!

(Wool Wienie, Conservative, Comfort-oriented, Practical) December 31, 2009

I have two of these- a small and a medium and they both fit fine. I'm a small gal- 34A and this bra gives all the support I need for cycling, running, and the gym. This bra is seriously the most comfortable item of clothing that I own. It is amazing. I would wear it all the time except that the straps come in close to the neck so is visible under some shirts. It does get soaking wet with sweat but I don't notice until I take it off. In the summer it is cool and in winter it is warm. The only downfall for me is the single layer of fabric doesn't quite tame my perky you-knows, so when I wear it in the gym I pop in a couple of thin cup inserts to keep the boys from staring.

Pros
  • Straps That Do Not Slide
  • Comfortable
  • Good Support
  • Durable
  • Soft as a lamb's bottom
Cons
Uses
  • Everyday Wear

  • Jogging

The Best Sports Bra EVER!

(Conservative, Comfort-oriented) November 10, 2009

I love this bra! I bought it for cycling in winter. It eliminates the cold, clammy feel that most sports bras have. I wear it year round. I haven't tried running in it, so I can't speak to support, but it is the bra I reach for first.
