The Kinvara minimizes to maximize—performance, efficiency and response. The minimalist approach allows the foot to run uninhibited, delivering a natural yet lively ride for efficient runners everywhere. With swooping lines and a sleek profile, this shoe is very lightweight and flexible. A great addition to your running kit.

Renata says: These shoes are so super light, and visible, it's amazing! I feel so much lighter and faster in these shoes, and did I mention VISIBLE? I found the small heel to toe drop to be really noticeable. I am flexible, and I stretch my calves and hamstrings a lot, so I found myself transitioning with ease and speed, whereas the heels in other shoes always felt so big and bulky. I'm a neutral runner, so I don't need a support shoe, but I was careful, and I did take my time transitioning over to these shoes because they really have minimal support.
In the past, I had trouble with plantar fasciitis. To compensate, I tried running in more supportive shoes and I even used an orthotic insert. However , I found that the less structured the shoe was, the less my feet hurt! I admit, I don't put in a ton of miles, but I have not had any pain at all after switching to these shoes. This may not work for everyone, but it sure worked for me.

FIT NOTE:The Kinvara is classified as a "natural running" shoe (also sometimes referred to as a "minimalist" shoe"). Natural running shoes have a smaller heel-to-toe drop (4mm for the Kinvara) than most traditional run shoes (which are typically 10-12mm). This difference puts your heel closer to the ground and stretches the achillies tendon more than traditional running shoes. If you've never run in the Kinvara or other natural running shoe, we suggest slowly adding mileage while alternating with other training shoes. Adding mileage too quickly without the proper time to adapt can result in injury.
