The cut is close to your body for a flattering aerodynamic look, fitting best when you’re in a cycling position. You can leave it on in between rain squalls, it’s just that breathable! Anna says: Lightweight, waterPROOF, windproof, breathable, simple. These are the criteria that I have been looking for in a cycling jacket. It fits in my jersey pocket and keeps me dry and warm when bad weather strikes (which happens often in Oregon!). This is the most well suited jacket to the task, I never hesitate to take it along. The Ultralight has a unique construction where the Gore-Tex membrane is directly laminated to the backer textile, which creates a nice next-to-skin feeling that I prefer over several other types of waterproof jacket backings. The subtle reflective piping sure is LOUD when light hits it and it can be seen from the back, even when I am commuting with my backpack. Gore never overlooks the details with an optional hood attachment (sold separately) and long arms finished with an adjustable cuff to fit nicely over whichever glove I am wearing for the day. With proper care, this jacket should last me years!
