Gore-Tex Paclite Alp-X Jacket

Anona says: Would you trade a windy, icy, sub-freezing winter for a rainy January in the mid-40's? Umm...YES! It's pretty sweet to have only the rain to contend with all winter...as long as I've got a couple of quality pieces of rain gear to keep me dry. This jacket is awesome because, like all of Gore's cycling stuff, it is tailored perfectly for my body on the bike. The jacket is trim so it doesn't flap, and long so it covers all of my torso without bunching. The sleeves are LONG, which means that I have wrist coverage in every position. Velcro tabs on the wrists secure the jacket over or under my glove of choice. The double zipper is great because I can have a vent without the flappy wings! In addition to the cycling-friendly details, this jacket actually keeps me dry without building up moisture on the inside. It's also super-light and packs up small, so I never balk at having to stash it in my bag when it's not raining. The spring green color is a nice new twist on the obnoxious fluorescent green that we cyclists always wear, and yet it's still visible. The Gore Alp-X pants complete my waterproof ensemble and make for happy rides :-)
