Not a good glove

(Stylish, Practical, Comfort-oriented) August 28, 2013

I thought these looked great and were a good deal. However after an hour of riding my hands were getting numb. I found that the gloves were snug and way too tight between the fingers causing circulation to be cut off. I used them the rest of my ride but had to shake out my hands often and I won't be using them again. Maybe if you ordered a size up, but I wouldn't mess with this design. There are better gloves.

Descente is Decent

(Practical, Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Stylish) December 31, 2012

I bought these as "back up" gloves to have around. I ended up using them on my last ride, and they were just OK. My hands were a bit numb, but I was on a long ride and I could have been applying too much pressure to my handlebars.

These gloves are a little stiffer than my other brands of gloves. There is slightly less flexibility to them. They do run on the smaller side of gloves, so size up. I'm generally a medium in gloves, but order large to provide for extra roominess in case my hands swell. The large of these fit pretty snugly. They look pretty durable (I've only used them once, so I can't testify to long-term use). They are easy to put on and take off.

They also have a weird chemical smell to them. I ordered them over a month ago and they've been sitting out, and they still smell chemically funky. I am going to toss them in the gentle cycle, hang to dry, and then rub them with dryer sheets afterwards to see if that will help.

Most painful gloves I've had

(Practical, Competitive Athlete) September 8, 2012

These gloves seemed to fit well before my ride, but by mile 10, I was in excruciating pain. The fabric between each finger of the gloves was digging into the webbing between my fingers. Seems like the palm of the gloves is too short compared to the width. After the ride, which I cut short at 30 miles, my skin was sore and it still hurts to move my fingers. Since then, I brought out a pair of scissors and cut a piece of the fabric out between each finger; hope that allows me to keep using the gloves. I do like the padding a lot, which is why I gave these gloves 2 stars.

  • Good Grip

  • Stifling

Quality versatile glove for slim hands

(Practical, Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper) December 27, 2011

Versatile and fantastic for SLIM HANDS and long fingers! I am ordering more pairs of these as they work really well for mountain biking and on the roadie. The gel is in all the right places, nice and grippy palms for MTB bars and with a good pad between thumb and forefinger for road levers. My last pair have survived some tough use, the gloves are well made and long lasting, very comfortable and not harsh to wear. They breathe well with mesh uppper (just keep the velcro tab off it). Sizing - my palm is 7 inches exactly which fits M very snugly, so keep this in mind when sizing.

Just right!

(Style meets budget) September 5, 2010

These gloves are perfect for me. I have small hands and most of the cycling gloves I tried had so much padding that they interfered with my ability to shift or grab the handle bars. I have tried these in Medium and Small, I prefer the Medium- puts the gel at base of palm pad in just the right place. The only reason these get 4 out of 5 stars is because they are a bit tricky to remove, other than that I love them.
First pair lasted 3 yrs/4,000+ miles and are still wearable, just managed to create a hole on the back of the thumb area (too many cleanings with Simple Green) Surprising since I clean my tires while riding all the time and that area is fine!
Velcro closure is the longest lasting I have ever seen and the fingers are nice and snug (almost lost my wedding band with old gloves because the finger openings pushed the ring to the outside of the glove) the Air Gel's stay firm around the fingers without cutting into anything.

Pros
  • Good Grip
  • Durable
  • Lightweight

not so good

(Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish) June 24, 2009

I wore these during Ride the Rockies and by the end of a long ride the space between my first 2 fingers was in agony. I don't think the gloves were too small on me...I think they just aren't good in the "webbing" area. They LOOK cute though!
