I like to head over to the west-orange trail in the early a.m. on weekends,
or after dropping my 4 kids off at school; if Im not needed as a sports
chauffer, or room mom helper!!!!!!

Subject: [WCDL] great cheap sunscreen
Reply-To: womens-cycling@teamestrogen.com
I noticed the mention of sunscreen in another post and wanted to share
my latest find. I recently went on a "Bike & Cruise" in the Southern
Caribbean and picked up some "CVS" brand spray on #30 sport sun block
and I did not burn at all in the direct rays of the sun near the
equator. It was so cheap and so good, I could not believe it. No mess
either, just spray it on, no rubbing it in. For my face and ears, I just
sprayed it in my hand and applied with my fingers. (CVS is a national
drugstore chain that I hope everyone has access to. If not email me and
I can send you some)

Hi! During the winter I use my trainer during the week and ride outside on the weekends.
There is a wonderful bike path by my house that goes along the river for several miles.
Now that the days are longer, however, I been riding in the evenings after work.
This is perfect riding weather here in NM.

Reply-To: womens-cycling@teamestrogen.com
Bridgett,
I've lived in Jackson Hole, Wyo. for the past five years. I moved here
from Greenville, Mississippi, where it's 80 degrees today. I had to buy
a lot of fleece in a very short time period, but you should be able to
stay warm with a minimum of expense.
The coldest weather I've ridden in is 20 degrees above, so here's what I
wear for that:
Polypropolene long underwear, bottoms and turtleneck top
Wind-proof pants
Fleece sweatshirt or other warmth layer
Wind-proof jacket
Full-length fleece gloves
Neck gaitor to breathe through, keeps lungs from freezing up
Helmet and helmet cover (without something over your helmet, the
vents work TOO well, and freezing wind gives you ice-cream headache)
SKI GOGGLES. You might laugh, but they keep my face SO much
warmer than sunglasses, it's not even funny, and they don't fog up half
as bad.
That's it! It takes a little while to get the right positioning on your
gaitor, goggles, helmet, helmet cover, etc., but it keeps you plenty
warm. Good luck, I've always wanted to go to Alaska!
